Season 3 finales for both Better Call Saul and Fargo this week. I thought both seasons were pretty good and overall I feel these series are some of the strongest writing on cable.

Last night I watched new episodes of The Carmichael Show on NBC and Huang's World on Viceland. I also caught the series premiere of Snowfall on FX.

Watched a lot of tv off the DVR and Netflix while recovering from surgery. Some of that I checked out included...
The Expanse Season 2 Arrow Season 5 Stranger Things (I had started but never finished this before I got sick, went back and watched the whole thing) Star Trek (original series) Season 1 (rewatched for first time in years) Jessica Jones the first half of Daredevil Season 2 Legends of Tomorrow Season 2 most of Flash Season 3 (I have a handful of episodes left) part of Supergirl Season 2 have about half the season left) and the new season of Face Off on SYFY and a bunch of episodes of Forged in Fire and a number of home reno shows on HGTV.

Jessica Jones DD season 2 (I have two eps to go) Flash season 3 Stranger Things (will wrap that up later this week) Supernatural season 12 (about halfway through) Game of Thrones season 6 (rewatch before season 7 starts this Sunday) Wish I still had cable so I could watch Face Off, but hopefully one of my three streaming services will get it soon.

Hawaii Five-ODaniel Dae Kim and Grace Park (unofficially left 5-O team) because of the pay issue ... if this is true - I'm going to stop watching this program. Hawaii Five O ... Mess I wish they would make a show for those two - a good one, not like that silly Hawaii 5-O remake. Myself, I'm so involved in the new Twin Peaks I can't get interested in anything else right now, even with the week's wait between episodes.

GoT Season 7 premiere did not disappoint tonight. Can't wait 6 days and 23 hours for the next episode. Watched the season premiere "Dragonstone" last night as it was free On Demand. Loved the opening and the Sam montage. I'm excited about this season but from what I've read it's only 7 episodes and the final season will only be six. I don't get HBO anymore but plan to activate my Verizon "free-view" and binge the season after the finale airs in a few weeks. I plan to do the same with new Twin Peaks on Showtime.

Yeah, they're only 12 episodes left to wrap it up, so they seem to be moving with a greater sense of urgency. I have Hulu, so I am getting a free month of HBO Now and will pay for the next month to watch the last three episodes of the season. Next year, I'll have to figure some other scheme out to watch the last season.

My wife and I have been watching Game of Thrones from the beginning over the last week and a half. She is a big fan of the books and has read them quite a few times. Neither of us have ever watched the TV show though. My wife is really enjoying it and, of course, she knows what's going to happen, but I think she feels its a very faithful adaptation. Myself, I'm quite enjoying it too. We've watched 6 episodes so far -- so about half way through that first season -- and, while I wouldn't say that it was absolutely blowing me away, but it is very gripping and I do enjoy the fantasy setting. We'll definitely be watching into season two, at the very least, I would think.

And whatever you decide, do stay on till season 3!!!

And whatever you decide, do stay on till season 3!!! We finished season 1 last night. I must say, for me, it's got more gripping as it's gone on. I'm definitely a little more hooked on it now than I was when I wrote that post. Season 2 is all downloaded and ready to be watched over the coming weeks. It's interesting that you say that the makers took some liberties with the storyline, because my wife feels that it's a very faithful adaptation so far. Maybe that will change in subsequent seasons. The only remark she's made about it being noticeably differing from the book is that the youngest Stark child is perhaps a little older than he is in the book, and that they seem to have added a few extra "racy" scenes, in order to up the nudity and sex content (although there's plenty of sex in the book anyway).
