Littlefinger sees Sansa as someone he can manipulate. If he has to woo her or bed her, he will, but she is just one more person for him to play. Littlefinger's sexuality is strange at best, we don't know what he requieres of a companion, or if he even truly desires one, but I think he was honest, when he said he wanted the Iron Throne with her by his side. I imagine he must want her to be "deserving", of such a place.

I imagine he must want her to be "deserving", of such a place. I believe what Littlefinger "requires" in a companion is someone who can further his goals to get onto the Iron Throne. Sansa, for all of the growing up she's done, still wants to be a Lady, to have servants and a keep and be waited on, and now that Jon is on Dragonstone getting his obsidian and making googly eyes at Dany, she's running the show at Winterfell. She has no idea what she's doing, but the idea of playing the part of a noblewoman still is attractive in her eyes. Littlefinger knows that with the Knights of the Vale along with the northern armies at his back, he can wait it out while Cersei and Dany rip each other's armies to shreds, then swoop in and clean up the rest. Sure, he'll need Sansa "leading" the north, but make no mistake, it's pure Littlefinger behind the scenes, pulling the strings and making the puppets dance like he's used to.

I don't see both things as being exclusive, there're many aspects to a complex personality, and he's obviously a complex character. If she doesn't serve his needs, then she may not meet his standards. Again, assuming he's even looking for a companion, it could also be that he just wants the Iron Throne and a puppet by his side.

I didn't like how Cersei bragged about knowing about everything that went on, when she obviously didn't. And not taking the chance, to exact vengeance on a certain someone, looks strange to me.
Can we make a poll, about who's going to survive next episode's expedition?

Game of Thrones Season 7 Episode 5 "Eastwatch" Jon Snow standing face to face with a dragon looked great and I thought it was some of the best CGI in the series. It made me wonder if Jon Snow could survive being burned by dragon fire. A few reunions this week; Ser Jorah and Daenerys, Tyrion and Jaimee Lannister, as well as, Gendry and Davos. Gendry was pretty swift with that giant hammer and it was interesting seeing him meet Jon Snow (the meeting of the bastards). I thought the Samwell scenes continued to be good. Arya keeping an eye on Little Finger while he was spying on her was great too. The Hound and Beric joining the expedition beyond the wall made me really excited for next week.

That thing you wonder about... I'd say yes, he'd survive. As for the reunions, I missed the one involving Bron, but that's the price you pay for expediting things.

Some TV shows I've been watching over the spring/summer...
I watched the first three episodes of Get Shorty on EPIX On Demand as it was free this past weekend and it was decent. I thought Chris O'Dowd was pretty good as the lead character. It was a little weird seeing Ray Romano in this role at first but it worked well enough. I plan to binge the rest of the season the next time I get the chance. I would definitely recommend it to anyone interested in adaptations of Elmore Leonard's work.
I've been enjoying Loaded on AMC. The premise is similar to HBO's Silicon Valley except it's an hour long and the humor and characters are British.
Midnight Texas on NBC is kind of interesting. It seems like you basic monster of the week show except some of the people in the town are actually monsters; a vampire, a witch, an angel, etc. A psychic on the run who can communicate with the dead, including the spirit of his hippie grandma, moves there and gets involved with a murder mystery.
Claws on TNT was surprisingly entertaining. I think Niecy Nash is really funny and I kind of miss Reno 911. I felt she gave a pretty good dramatic performance in this. Her character runs a nail salon that launders money for the Dixie Mafia. Some of it is a bit corny but for the most part I think the humor works. Harold Perrineau gives a convincing performance as her autistic brother. Dean Norris, who played Hank on Breaking Bad, plays a mob boss who owns a strip club and runs an Oxycontin racket out of a drug clinic.

Really tempted to download and watch the new GoT episode that leaked, but I'll probably force myself to hold off until Sunday night and watch it on the big screen.
A lot of people online are saying it's totally epic and the best episode of the entire series so far.

Yeah, that's another one in the pipeline. So many of them, currently watching the strain, twin peaks, preacher, rick and forty, game of thrones, manhunt unabomber, the sinner, big little lies, halt and catch fire...

I've always been a big Twin Peaks fan, and I loved the first 8-9 episodes of this new season, but the last 5-6 have felt like a slog for the most part.
I'm ready for this Dougie nonsense to end and for Coop to get back to being Coop.
