With the 7th season of Game of Thrones wrapped up and Twin Peaks nearing the very end, I won't have much to watch until October when the new season of Curb Your Enthusiasm drops...then it's on to The Punisher in November.
Was hoping that the 3rd season of Ash vs Evil Dead would come out next month as well, but it sounds like we may have to wait until early 2018...sigh.

USS Indianapolis: men of courage
It was out in 2016, and I just spotted it on Netflix.
An O.K. made for TV movie dealing with one of the most dramatic events of WWII. The CGI is kind of awful, though. And the sharks are mostly great whites, which is a bit irritating. Also, the same story was better told in a few minutes in Jaws.
But man, what a traumatic ordeal these brave sailors went through. All of us who never had to suffer such horrible events should really be grateful for how lucky we are!

I think season 4 of The Strain on FX has been some of the strongest stuff the show has done. It seems to be getting better as it's winding down after a rough start and a couple of mediocre seasons. Still worth checking out if you are a horror fan though. Season 4 episode 7 "Ouroboros" was one of the best of the entire series.

Agreed for the most part, except the bit about "a couple of mediocre seasons". IMO, the strongest suit of the series, is that each season has its own distinctive setting. There's no slow transition, it goes from one thing to another, and they're all different.

Has anyone seen the Twin Peaks "finale"? Yeah, and I'm not sure if anyone knows what the hell happened.

Has anyone seen the Twin Peaks "finale"? Yeah, and I'm not sure if anyone knows what the hell happened. Certainly, not Kyle MacLachlan. One thing's for sure, next time he brings us a new TV show, I'll make sure the ending has some sense, before even starting watching it.

I loved it and would have been disappointed if the ending had been too clear-cut. The whole series is one of the greatest things I've ever seen in my life. Not saying it was perfect, but I'd rather Lynch had complete freedom than to have anything curtail his vision into something more easily digestible. The only thing that bothers me is the thought that there probably won't be a season 4.
In regard to the ending, my advice would be to let your mind free-associate a bit: observe whatever feelings or ideas pop up, even if they contradict each other. In the dream-logic of Lynch's films, contradiction doesn't necessarily eliminate or disprove anything.
I don't believe there's one single "correct" interpretation of what happened, even though Lynch did probably have something specific in mind. There was a line in the finale, "We live inside a dream.": since Lost Highway (definitely a connection with the night-driving imagery in the last few episodes) and Mulholland Drive, a lot of Lynch viewers tend to ask "Who's the dreamer?" and "Which part is the dream and which part is real, i.e. outside the dream?", but I suspect there isn't necessarily a straightforward answer to those questions for Twin Peaks S3 (or Inland Empire). That doesn't mean that every possible answer is "right" or even that those are the right questions to ask, but I think they are a good starting point and that there is more than one fruitful response.

Season 4 of Broad City on Comedy Central starts next week so I started binged watching the third season. Definitely one of the funniest shows on cable.
