Another year in the books, as well as another celebration reminding us of all the people and conversation that makes this community so special. Thank you all for your participation.
And a heartfelt congratulations (as always) to every member of this community, whether you won, were nominated, or just deserved to be. There were only ten awards to go around, but we all make this place what it is. Thank you!
The awards are designed to be the ideal size to work as a banner for those who feel like rightfully flaunting their win. After all, it's not really bragging if we voted to give you the honor in the first place

THE RESULTS
The Professor Xavier Award for Best Discussion Starter
"His posts are both thoughtful and fun...Supercat has the ability to make his posts informative, educational and entertaining, so that there’s plenty to discuss of depth but with all the fun that comics entails."
Favorite Classic Comic (non-review) Thread
"Such a fun way to relive comic history; it's introduced me to some new titles and issues I wouldn't have known about otherwise, and it's also encouraged me to make more meaningful use of the invaluable resource that is Mike's Amazing World. Thanks so much for the fun, dbutler69!"
The Brother Power the Geek Award for Funniest Member
"We have many funny posters around here, but the one who made me chuckle the most with his wit, quick repartee and all-around humour this year is tartanphantom . He keeps us in high spirits, and not only because of his encyclopedic knowledge of fine distillates."
Favorite Beyond The Back Issues Thread
"I am nominating the very witty, very knowledgeable and far pithier than I Slam_Bradley for his "My Favorite Movie of XXXX" thread.
If you want more reason than that, I direct you to his most recent entry on his favorites from 1948."
The Bruce "brutalis" Hinds Award for Friendliest Member
"All his posts are cool and he doesn't show any snappiness no matter what is said."
Favorite Original Fiction or Art Piece
"What an incredible concept using two characters I never dreamed I'd see on a page together. Some serious amazing professional quality artwork."
The Uatu Award: Most knowledgeable Member
"Be it here on the boards or in one of Icctrombone's Zoom meetings, I am always awed by MDG's knowledge of obscure (well, obscure to me) underground comics as well as classic books and strips. He always has some cool first-person anecdote to tell about a particular creator or some piece of artwork. I'll admit it frankly: I'm a little awed by the breadth of his experience!"
Favorite Review Thread
"Not only does it provide the pertinent facts pertaining to each story, it provides some fascinating facts, trivia and historical context."
The Jasper Sitwell Award for Best New Member
"He brings a delightful enthusiasm to most of his posts and his passion for comics is clear in every post."
The Captain Jim Zimmerman Award for Best Overall Member Who Most Exemplifies the Spirit of the CCF
"he's ever-friendly, level headed, and has a great taste in comics to boot!"
A heartfelt congratulations to all of our winners, nominees, and participants. Thanks, EVERYONE, for a seventh amazing year at the CCF. It only seems to keep getting better around here!
