Hint time? It's British (but was later a DC book)

Nope! Would the initials CB help?

Ah. According to GCD, that's an Australian title, not British. So my research into British 50s comics only served to improve my useless knowledge reservoir.

Nope! Would the initials CB help? (last call, btw, if no one gets it by tomorrow we'll just move on) CB made me think Captain Britain, but since he wasn't around in the 50's, and wasn't with DC, and rarely associated with elephants, I figured that couldn't be right.

Congo Bill #7. Jeepers! That was a tough one! That's it! And you're right, that is australian... I looked at the flag quick and didn't realize... sorry about that. I guess I should be more careful with hints. No wonder it was so tough! I should be able to do a few new ones tomorrow

Pip, the image is on a host that my employer blocks. Odd, bild.me is an image hosting site like photobucket, just with less bells and whistles. Attachment DeletedDid it with the "attachment feature" here now.
