The image looks really familiar. Like something I read for a short time in the 1990s that wasn't really very good, so I collected it for a year or so and haven't read it since.
Did Fire (from the Justice League family of fine comic books) ever make an image like that when using her powers?

That was during the age when they tried to make Golden Age fans happy by killing off Dr Fate and turning his helmet into a big dagger while stripping the original Green Lantern of his ring and his lantern.
Why on earth would a brilliant plan like that fail?
