That is correct. And that's exactly where you're mind was supposed to go with those comments/hints. The link you provided to GCD wasn't working so here's the image. -M Fixed it. Thanks!

...and, in case you missed it from the previous page, here's the next one:

Okay, here's the next one, then. Hint: it's not the obvious one. Off the top of my head Harbinger, Gnatrat: , Clint: The Hamster Triumphant and Mighty Mouse had homage/parody cover using the same or similar idea, and I think there is a Cerebus and The Boys issue that also riff off of it, but I am not sure if I can tell by the silhouette if it is any one of those as opposed to the others -M

I kind of suspected it was Harbinger considering your like of Valiant, but I wasn't sure.

Okay, here's the next one, then. Hint: it's not the obvious one. Hmm... homage covers are tough. My first thought was Mighty Mouse #1 (1990) but it doesn't fit. Edit: D'oh! Did not see there was another page already to this thread.

I'm just ecstatic I knew what "the obvious one" referred to.

Hmm... The linework reminded me of John Paul Leon, but I looked at all his covers with no success... Thought about the Tangent Comics Green Lantern, but that looked completely different.

Those are some heroic efforts at detective work, and the Lantern might lead you to the right comic logo, but it's not a special lantern, just a ordinary light on a street...Leon however is not the cover artist... -M

Art by George Pratt, whom I met at a small comic convention in ... Dortmund or Essen or some other Ruhr metropolis. Detective Comics #632
