Snagged these...there is a sticker on the #90 but I think it adds some nostalgia from that era when they tried to upsell it as a back issue. Knock two more off my ASM #50-100 run. 15 more to go including the uber pricey #50.

So the Jim & Dan's Comic & Toy Show haul from today.... for toys & artwork see this thread hereand for contemporary stuff see this thread hereto start with, the book I wanted to make sure I got today was a copy of Jack Kirby's Demon #2, the only issue I needed to complete the series. I found it and another book my dad would have loved early one... Yes a Tom Landry and the Dallas Cowboys comic by Al Hartley put out by Spire Comics-this proved to be a conversation piece most of the day as several people remarked on it or started conversations about it, including the owner of my regular lcs who collects Spire Comics as an eccentricity and Craig Boldman, Archie artist extradonaire and local to this area, who was a friend of Hartley's. I also picked up a quarter of Treasuries from him... and found one of my grails...a reader copy of Savage Tales #1, which only ran me $10... it's rough, but readable, and considering how much high grade copies are going for now, I'll take it. More to come... -M I actually have that Tom Landry and the Dallas Cowboys comic! Also the All-Star Comics treasury edition, for that matter. Congrats on getting that grail, too!

One of the other dealers I bought stuff from was a toy dealer, but he had boxes of $1 books, including some great toy tie in comics from Marvel... I got all these from him at less than $1 each as he gave me a bulk discount... some Shogun Warriors from Marvel... a handful of Hawkmoon and Elric comics I need to fill holes... some Rom issues to chip away at my want list for the series... some Marvel Godzilla books... and a few miscellaneous books... including an extra copy of the glow in he dark Spectre #1 to display in the new comic room when I get to that point. And the last batch came form another dealer, the 5 issues I needed of the Moench/Gulacy SCISpy series... and that wraps up the day's haul. Great show, lots of good dealers, good time had by many. Oh and the best damn Count Chocula cosplay costume ever! in costume with it's bucket boots and paper mache head, it was over 7 feet tall! -M I got the entire Shogun Warriors run a couple of years ago. Wonderfully affordable Bronze Age run. I've also got most of the Rom run, but I'm jealous of those Godzillas!

I've picked up some here and there, but never had enough interest to pursue the series, so I could bring them out to Gem City in April for you if you need any of them.

I'm slowly grabbing 70s Captain America as they make themselves acquainted with me. A while back I finished getting my holy grail of 153-156 and have been adding to my little stash since. Last week I managed to get 1 of what I had thought of as being out of reach(for my miserly ways), 1 of the Steranko issues, #113, beat up a bit but now in a loving environment where it will be lavished as much as it deserves. I think it was around $20 incl postage so I'm rapt.

I went to the comic book shop on Friday and bought a bunch of old stuff along with a few newer stuff.
Rebirth Superman # 10 and 17 The new Dark Crystal comic book. I bought an extra copy of issue 1 to give to my older sister. Both of us grew up on the Dark Crystal movie back in the day. Inhumans vs X Men # 0 and 1 Unworthy Thor # 4 Nighstalkers # 2 and 3 Alf # 2 Alpha Flight # 12, 13, 128 and 129 Fantastic Four # 174 Amazing Spider Man # 351, 387 and 389. Now I pretty much got the Vulture stuff out of the way. Spider Man # 28 for the Something about a Gun part 2 story arc Generation X # 3 and 4. Issue 4 is the teams' first Christmas issue.

I finished my Daredevil collection from 168-300 today, minus a few fill in issues I wasn't really interested in. I also grabbed a copy of The Earth Stealers (because Swan) and a random Zelda comic (because Zelda) while I was at it.

I didn't expect THAT! I bid on some issues of Detective Comics in the G to VG range. And I got this for less than $20! I got these two for reasonable prices: And then there's this, Detective #411, the first appearance of Talia. I've known for a while I wouldn't be getting this one cheap so I put a high bid and it went all the way to my high bid ($50) ... but I got it! I can't believe I got Detective #327 for under $20!
