I got these three beauties for 99 cents plus shipping. And they were a delicious read. This completes my Planetary collection from 1-27.

I'm getting refunded I expect for Defenders #52-55 that never arrived after a two month wait, so I ordered those plus a few others priced low enough from different sellers #45-50... one seller had a nice Metal Men #47 so will have three of the Simonson issues to look forward to alongside those Defenders. If they weren't so high I'd get a run of All Star Comics #58-60, but 58 is way too pricey for me. I'd had a handful of the title in the past, wish I'd kept what I'd had, definitely had 59 once anyway.

Just looked at mycomicshop, had no idea it was so pricey. This would be a vg/f going by the pics there. You're welcome to it for postage. Just PM me

It has arrived. Maybe not the Holy Grail or even the Ark of the Covenant, but this one is way better than some silly Sankara Stones.

I'm a late comer with X-23 but the new series piqued interest in her back catalogue.
Got both series from 2005 and 2006 in this mix. I think they qualify here as they are over 10 years old.
If you're a fan of X-23, you might like Kyle and Yost's run of New X-Men. It ran from #20-46. The first arc was actually pretty bad, but the rest was good. It was a bit dark for my usual tastes, but an entertaining read overall.

The only early '40s DC superhero comic I ever had was an All-Flash and I didn't even like it much. I had a few Real Screen Comics from the era though which were neat; Fox and the Crow plus Tito and his Burrito. :^)

The nice Metal Men #47 not available after all, 'sigh'. This seems to be happening to me a lot lately where you pay for something and then it's a big problem to ever get it... sometimes even have a problem getting refunded. I was only buying Defenders to replace ones not sent I'm still waiting for the refund on and thought it lucky one seller had a Metal Men I wanted that could double up on the postage for a Defenders #50. There was an X-Men I only got after a third try, I had to order it and have the order cancelled twice before... I wonder sometimes if something is suddenly hot due to a movie connection and people start pulling them? I have some '70s comics still to look forward to reading though so will focus on that! It keeps me going really sometimes, I'm sure non comic readers wouldn't understand at all.

Non-comic readers are so...so...non-comic-reading!... Sorry about the mail-order problems. Have all these 'non-deliveries' been from the same dealer?

Non-comic readers are so...so...non-comic-reading!... Sorry about the mail-order problems. Have all these 'non-deliveries' been from the same dealer? Lately they are variations on two things: 'never were going to be sent' or 'didn't have the comic after all'. Four times from four different sellers, two were after making me wait and finally enquire, which is much worse than them telling me quickly. I used to get that with people listing new things for sale that didn't actually have the items when listing them, but I didn't expect it with vintage comic books where a specific copy is shown. It could be some just don't want the bother of mailing outside the U.S. too.

I suspect it might be this. Sorry, becca.

One of our 3 local comic stores lost their Diamond account a couple of years back, and closed not long after that. They've since sort-of re-opened; new location, same stock, some of the same people. But they focus more on gaming and collectibles; no new comics. This month they're doing a big back issue sale. The wife and I went today. She got a bunch of fairly recent Captain America. I picked up The New Defenders issues 126 thru 149 for a dollar each. That's almost the whole run of that team, and I remember really liking the combo of Moondragon, Cloud, Gargoyle and Valkyrie. Of course, it's been a while since I read them, so the Suck Fairy may have visited. Guess I'll find out.
