Nice inking by Abel, though. I already told a friend he could have it after I read the Doom Patrol reprint. Is there such a thing ? Looks like it's the other way around, the second story in the Giant is a reprint from Doom Patrol Vol 1 #88.

Just now getting around to posting a fairly large haul from July 4th weekend. This isn't everything, but it's the highlights.
First, finally picked up a decent copy of Daredevil #16. That leaves me needing only 5 issues to complete the entire series, 4 of which are affordable, 1 of which I will probably never own since it has blown up in the last year (that would be issue #1).
However, I also completed my run on All-Star Western-- I needed 5 issues and found them all on this trip. Plus, the final issue of (Son of) Tomahawk, and another issue of the weird Archie Shadow book.
Next, a couple more issues of Eerie Magazine, with Rook stories.
A smattering of World's Finest Dollar Comics--
On to the war titles-- Some Atlas and Charlton goodness, plus increasing the count on my Weird War Tales and Enemy Ace collections...
Now onto the horror/mystery titles-- I made some good inroads here, completing a few runs in the process, namely: Weird Mystery Tales (completed), Forbidden Tales of Dark Mansion (completed), Worlds Unknown (completed) and World of Wood (completed). Also, I am now within 1 issue of completing both Secrets of Haunted House and Monsters On the Prowl. Plus, still working to complete runs of Fear and Uncanny Tales.
Next, a classic Adams cover on House of Mystery-- which I am still a long way from completing. However, I am getting close on Unexpected, now needing less than 25 issues for a full run. And another classic Adams cover on Witching Hour-- another title where I have about 75% complete.
Finally, some odds & ends-- a couple more Marvel Bronze horror titles (still a ways to go on these series), a 52-page JLA issue, and a Popeye promotional giveaway-- kind of disappointed in this one because Popeye speaks in normal English syntax, instead of his classic malapropism vernacular-- not a "Well, blow me down!", "Oh, Garshk", "How Embarassking" or "I yam what I yam" in the whole book!

Romita's training camp for Spidey, I wonder if he ever imagined what the character would mean for him and his son.

That ARCHIE "The Shadow" comic looks wonderfully off-model! My middle school vocation department had a whole crate full of those Popeye vocation comics. They were Popeye-in-name-only.

Almost forgot to mention, the local comics show was held a few weeks ago - still with a sort of limited schedule and activities due to Covid measures - but a bunch of the vendors set up tables, so I masked and gloved up to do a little browsing and brought home this haul: Always nice to get an Elseworlds I haven't yet read, and Twilight Children is something I've been wanting to read for some time. I picked Walk Through Hell mainly because Sudzuka's doing the art (I like it, and he's a really good guy). Terra Obscura will probably lead me down the path of looking for the rest of the Tom Strong material - I usually try to avoid getting sucked into new series that will end up costing me and also adding to my already crippling pile of books to read, but the seller was offering that book at such a discount that I couldn't resist.

As a big Xenozoic Tales/Cadillacs & Dinosaurs fan, I've been waiting for this one-- I've got all the floppies, but couldn't resist this new Deluxe signed limited (800 copies) hardcover collected edition-- In terms of quality, It definitely beats the pants off of the 2-volume Dark Horse trade set from several years back.
It arrived yesterday. While I was at it, I also bought the softcover edition for my son. Now, if only Mark Schultz would finish the dang loose storylines in the last issue! Oh well, a fellow can dream...
If you're not familiar with this title, I'd put it in the top 10 indie B/W series from the 80's-early 90's. Well worth a look if you like your artwork in the vein of Wally Wood and Al Williamson. There's even some Toth, Tuska and Foster influence in Schultz's work.

Yes, it's too bad Schultz hasn't bothered finishing the story and seems to be spending most of his time and creative energy these days on writing rather than drawing. I'm due for a re-read of this soon, along with some other late-80s-early-90s stuff, so I'm tempted to order this new edition myself, even though I think I have everything already in the earlier colletions and a few of the individual issues.

Looks in pretty good shape too. The story is pretty silly, but I liked it as an 8-year old.
