A few more books back from CGC from my collection for preservation. I know some of you don't care for the CGC, but I have these issues in trades for me to re-read. Some Marvel Silver Age and Underground 1. Captain America #106. I bought this one a few months ago on vacation. I knew I wanted this one taken care of. Always loved this cover. 2. Two Nick Fury pieces- Issue 6 is actually signed by Sternako inside; surprised I got the blue universal label. I'm more than happy with the first appearance of Bullseye before Miller's Bullseye. I bought this run for fairly cheap, and in decent condition. I'm considering doing the rest of the run just to have the whole run taken care of. 3. Tales of the Leather Nun- First printing and an Dave Sheridan classic cover. Spain and Crumb artwork inside. I had to return one of the CGC books as they mis-labeled my Mr. Natural #1. It's a first print and they labelled it as 'Second Printing" when it is clearly not. I always photo-document the labels just in case something like this happens. The person that helps me out with my CGC reached out and we contested it; got the paperwork to have them review it again. I enjoy my undergrounds in CGC format. It's something you don't see a lot of and I like the idea of having off kilter stuff like this preserved. I have more undergrounds sent and a stack of more to go.

When to ebay looking for the next one back for my Iron Man run (#71, to be precise) and ended up getting a bunch of stuff from the seller.. A big run of recent Flash, a few Green Lanten/Green Arrow books (6.. but none of the famous ones), and a couple other odds and ends. Very good haul! I love that era of Iron Man! My first issue back in 1975 was #80, but I got most of the issues from about #60 on at used-book stores over the next few years. The Super-Villain War is one of my favorite ongoing storylines from the early Bronze Age. I think if I was writing Iron Man, I would bring back Firebrand and Roxie Gilbert.

I didn't know this was released in a tabloid-sized Hardcover (10.3 x 13.7 inch) with a 39.99 tag....spotted it by chance and picked it up for $15. I own the original Treasury but the HC looked too cool to pass up on....

If I find that in the cheap, I'm getting it.

That's how I picked up most of the Fables HCs. Except Deluxe #15. That one remains a headache and is listed for closer to $200 all the time

So I took a gander inside after I got back home. They recoloured the blue spider on Spidey's back red and erased his pupils in the panel where he realizes who Ben's killer is. I'm legitimately miffed.

Four figures might get you that page where he realizes that Uncle Ben’s killer is the guy that he let go. Not the original art. Just that page. I bet it would be in really good shape!

Visited my Nephew in Worcester, MA and went with him and my brother to That's Entertainment (my favorite comic book store ever).. They (of course) had the missing Flash comic from my ebay run I got I needed, and I was also able to get 2 epic collections (a later Wolverine one and some Bill Mantlo Hulk) along with the Essential Spider-Woman vol. 2 (with the Claremont issues a wanted to read as a prequel to the Wolverine in Madripoor Epic collection I read earlier this year) all for just $50. Very pleased!
They were actually doing a book signing for Jim Steranko, which was neat, but sadly they were charging $50 per autograph, so I didn't partake.

You might be able to get a poor condition (i.e. less than 1.0) raw copy for under $10K, which is the bare minimum you would have to pay to get the "original coloring" he mentioned. I believe even in Origins of Marvel Comics from the 70s and the Marvel Tales reprint of AF 15 from the 80s had the recolored (i.e. corrected) versions. -M

Wouldn't Marvel Tales reprints have the same colouring?
