Had some time on Black Friday to get out and do a little shopping for myself, so here are the fruits of my travels: 20% off cover price each: $3 TPBs on clearance: Two-part Two-Face story, for about $4.75 total after a 25% discount: Been on a Scalphunter kick lately. Paid about $12 total for these five books after a 25% discount: Lastly, some $1 bin CtB from later in the run (OK, technically #250 cost me $1.50)

I bought Adventures In The DC Universe #7 when it came out, it was one of my first comics. Fitting considering how much I would grow to love the Marvel Family

Interesting... I jumped over to ebay to do a price check (I realized I actually have that)... it seems there's some debate over the 1st appearance between that and Inhumans #5, which seems a weird spot, anyone know what the deal is there?

Yelena does make her first appearance in Inhumans 5, but it's a bit shadowy, we don't really see her face so her cameo is authoritative and mysterious at best. She's far more prominent in the 3-issue series which starts in 1999 and her first full appearance is on the cover I posted above.

Hey, @jaska, I never know about that Brave and the Bold #34. A Legion appearance I haven't read. I'll have to check it out!

Lots of great comics, Supercat. I’m especially jealous of that 80-Page Giant Batman #5! I’ve never read that one, and I’m especially intrigued by “The Bride of Batman!” story. I read the synopsis somewhere and I’ve wanted to read it for a while. It looks like one of the best Vicki Vale stories ever!

Magazine-sized, full-colour bronze-age L'uomo Ragno Gigante from Italy. This collected 3 issues at a time. I have the US originals so it's not a big deal if the text is Italian, this cover is fab in any language.

I read the synopsis somewhere and I’ve wanted to read it for a while. It looks like one of the best Vicki Vale stories ever! Thank you, and that 80-Page Giant has some extra special significance to me actually. When I was a little kid, I remember going with my parents to some sort of "indoor flea market" as best as I can recall it, and one of the dealers had that issue for sale. Now, this was the early 80's, I had only seen late 70's to present comic books in person on the newsstand up to that point, I didn't even know there were things called comic book shops and back issues. I can't even remember if this dealer was selling mostly comic books or if this was just an "odds and ends" offering, but seeing a real "old" comic book person in real life just dazzled me. It wasn't priced too high either, and my parent ok'd it coming home with me. I remember not understanding that the "80-Page" part was actually the series, and thinking I had landed "Batman #5" lol, not that it was a monetary/collectible thing at that point. But most importantly, I absolutely devoured the stories, it was my introduction to earlier Batman and I reread it countless times. So it was my official first Silver Age back issue purchase, and while my original was sold many years ago, this feels like an old friend that's returned home

I bet you were real excited about that Batman #5! LOL
I looked through the listing on Mike’s Amazing World, and the only one of the stories I’ve read is the Catwoman tale from Detective #203. So this issue is a big Batman blind spot for me.

Brazil just got eliminated from the World Cup, so that netted me one of these as I told my victim to get this from my 'wager wish list' and it will be on its way soon. The rest of the wager is for more current MAD HCs.
MAD's best of Mort Drucker collects 276 glossy pages of his best over a span of 50 years, all prior to 2012 as that was the release date of this collection. It's fairly pricey, over $200 on Amazon so I waited patiently for an opportunity to get this one
