First strike for 2023. This is from the 2014 FF run. I need one more to complete the 18 issue run.

Today in the mail I received: Thus Spoke Rohan Kishibe Volume One, which has stories originally published from 1997 to 2013. I also received Volume Two today, but the stories contained in that collection are from 2014 onward.

I really couldn't get into Jojo beyond Battle Tendency and I think a lot of that had to do with the my feeling like the concepts in Stardust Crusaders and beyond being done better in Shaman King

I like Shaman King a lot and own every volume, Takei is great. But for me, I don't think the Oversoul abilities are nearly as creative as the powers in JJBA. I love stuff like having an entire hidden room within a turtle or attaching a small creature to someone's tongue causing them to lie, deflating people like balloons, being stalked and hunted down by a literal "rolling stone" haha. Just makes for fun "puzzle battles". Still, not to take away from Shaman King.

Lee Pai Long is my probably my favorite of these, being a kung-fu action star that was wrongly killed at the height of his popularity and re-animated to serve the Tao family as a chinese zombie/Jiang Shi

They just delivered Marvel Masterworks Uncanny X-Men 14 to me, containing Uncanny X-Men 210-219, Annual 10, New Mutants Annual 2, and the Fantastic Four vs. X-Men limited series. It's the issues in which Psylocke, Dazzler, Longshot, and Havok are recruited after the team suffers casualties in the Morlock Massacre. I do have these stories collected as Essentials in black-and-white, but I like having them in colour. I used to have many of them as back issues, but had to sell them at one point when I was in financial dire straits.

I definitely should try to read or watch JoJo from the beginning, I've caught a few random episodes and they did nothing for me, but I also had no idea what I was watching .

To this day, anytime I hear JoJo's Bizarre Adventure referenced, the "Torture Dance" song starts playing in my head.

This issue completes the 18 issue 2014 run. You bought a non-Image non-Avengers non-Thor book? Wow! One of these days I'll get you to break down and buy some vintage educational giveaway comics, or maybe even a complete run of Charlton's Hee Haw!

Found a solid copy of Star*Fems #2. Love that Gulacy cover so much. Never seen this title before. Yet another to add to the list. Is this an early Bill Black-related book? Sure looks like it.

You are correct sir. Bill Black written/drawn. There's some Jerry Ordway and Pat Broderick stuff inside as well. Only 2 issues. Both worth picking up.
