Not a purchase exactly (and if it is, I'd much rather not have paid the "price") but later today the late Greg Hatcher's wife Julie is dropping by with a huge stack of Essential and Showcase volumes that Greg, knowing how much I love the format, left to me in his will. Joining their brethren on my bookshelves will be:
Essentials
Avengers 1-9
Doctor Strange 1
Fantastic Four 1-8
Marvel Horror 1-2
Marvel Team-Up 4
Moon Knight 1-3
Peter Parker 4-5
Spider-Man 2-4
Thor 1-7
Warlock 1
Showcases

Legion of Super-Heroes 4-5
Unknown Soldier 1-2
Warlord 1
Needless to say, I'd much rather have Greg alive and well but at least I have my treasured memories of out friendship, memories that will be revisited every time I open one of these books.

Won this one in the Lonestar auction last night, another red dress cover for the collection. I will probably add a few books to the order to pad it out and make shipping worthwhile, but not sure what yet.  -M |

Holy cow, that's right - I was just looking at the individual titles and didn't register the actual number of books involved. That will indeed require some serious shelf space.
Personally, I have 10 Essentials (if you count the Solomon Kane and first two volumes of Savage Sword published by Dark Horse, which I do) and all but one are held in a big plastic storage box. By the way, of the ones you're getting, I also have Spider-man v2 (I have the rest of 1960s and early '70s ASM in different formats) and the two Marvel Horror books. Those latter two are a real grab bag of 1970s Marvel goodness.

January Comic Book Haul from my LCS all dollar bin finds! Atari Force #3 - #7 are the only ones I haven't read yet. 
The Eclipse Airboy run is a great series.

Well, there was a small mix-up of boxes so the Fantastic Four, Moon Knight, Marvel Horror, Marvel Team-Up, and Dr. Strange Essentials got delivered to Madison Middle School instead of me but so it goes. (The only loss that bums me out are the two Marvel Horror volumes, which are pricey as hell.) On the plus side, I got Showcase Presents The Losers, Vol. 1, which I'd forgotten to include on my want list. You win some, you lose some.

We had some Spawn comics at work that I picked up for $14.99, didn't notice the first appearance of Angela until after I bought the book bundle. It's getting bagged and boarded immediately  |
