How much did it cost, if I can ask? I got a good deal on a 2nd copy but still fairly pricey at $130ish....it's a $200 book but in all likelihood will never be deeply discounted as many other HCs are.

Check the sale at the link. It was $100. Just too good a price to pass up. I had not seen it under $150 anywhere.

I will admit to buying " reprints" of books I already own, but he price has to be right.
Off the top of my head I have:
Crisis/ Crisis tpb Secret Wars/ Secret wars TPB Avengers 1-100/ Avengers Masterworks, Essentials Watchmen/ Watchmen TPB Avengers vs. JLA/ Avengers vs. JLA omnibus Warlock 1-15, Strange Tales178-181/ Warlock Masterworks New Gods ( Jack Kirby) / New Gods TPB Thor 126-502/ Thor epic collections
The most I paid for any of those was 57 Dollars for the Avengers/JLA omnibus

But 75E is a great price! How could any Spider-Fan pass that up?

As mentioned, by already having the Omnibus. I try not to buy the same content twice. I fail miserably too often, but I try.
PS: after watching a video... I'm hesitating.

I think the cheapest I have is book 1 of Transmetropolitan that I got on Amazon for 11 dollars and something (talk about your cheapo gateway books)
I don't like buying something if I already have some of it unless I really like the series. I've had deep thoughts about buying some of the Classic Valiant Omnis, but the fact that they are just scans of the original pages from the comic kind of made it a "no-go" for me.

That's why I started to buy them and now I have over 400.

Just got back from California Comic Con. This is one of my favorite comic conventions. Old school comic convention; nothing but comic dealers and some art dealers. That's it; No toys. No shirts. Nothing but 2 hotel ballrooms of comic goodness. The show was humming with people buying and selling books. Also some comic creators came out as well. I got Marv Wolfman to sign a couple of comics. First time meeting Gary Gianni as he signed a couple Hellboy books for me. Scott Shaw! is a dear friend of mine as he drew a fun sketch. Sadly Val Mayerick and Mike Royer had to cancel their appearance. Saw some friends I haven't seen in 3 years and made a few new friends as well. Picked up a few books. Nothing too fancy. Another issue of Star*Reach added to my collection. (50% off) A Crumb book I don't have. (50% off) The final Star Wars. Not the biggest Star Wars comic fan but its a nice clean copy (Newsstand edition) Another Dave Stevens cover picked up.

That Katy Keene issue with the red dress cover showed up today, along withthe handful of books I got to round out the order and make shipping worthwhile. a trio of Sgt. Rock issues to fill in some holes... a pair of issues of James Robinson's Firearm form their dollar bin sale... and the first issue of the second World Below mini by Paul Chadwick (of Concrete fame), the last I needed to complete both minis.. -M

I've been tempted to pick up issues when I see it. I enjoyed the first mini, I haven't read the second. It's a step down form Concrete for Chadwick, but it is still good. His creature designs remind me of a more sedate Wolverton. -M

The problem with the World Below is it got cancelled forcing Chadwick into a very unsatisfying ending. It was meant for more than one mini.
