I enjoyed the first mini, I haven't read the second. It's a step down form Concrete for Chadwick, but it is still good. His creature designs remind me of a more sedate Wolverton. -M What I mean is stuff like the creature at the bottom of this cover definitely seem like there's a Wolverton influence in their design, but they aren't quite as wildly exotic as Woverton aliens seem to be, -M

The cover is not in the best condition, but I finally got The Great Northern Brotherhood of Canadian Cartoonists (2011) to go with my favorite "Seth" work: Wimbledon Green (2005).

I won an auction for Detective Comics #236 on eBay. I should have it by early next week.
This is the one with the Bat-Tank!

I'm a big fan of Seth's work. His stories and artwork never fail.

1970s Treasuries have some of the best covers of the bronze age. Something like this, I'd put in a fancy Treasury-sized Mylar and put on display in my comic room.

I will admit to buying " reprints" of books I already own, but he price has to be right. Off the top of my head I have: Crisis/ Crisis tpb Secret Wars/ Secret wars TPB Avengers 1-100/ Avengers Masterworks, Essentials Watchmen/ Watchmen TPB Avengers vs. JLA/ Avengers vs. JLA omnibus Warlock 1-15, Strange Tales178-181/ Warlock Masterworks New Gods ( Jack Kirby) / New Gods TPB Thor 126-502/ Thor epic collections The most I paid for any of those was 57 Dollars for the Avengers/JLA omnibus I'm the same with price. I think the cheapest I have is book 1 of Transmetropolitan that I got on Amazon for 11 dollars and something (talk about your cheapo gateway books)
I don't like buying something if I already have some of it unless I really like the series. I've had deep thoughts about buying some of the Classic Valiant Omnis, but the fact that they are just scans of the original pages from the comic kind of made it a "no-go" for me.
The stupidest thing about the Valiant omnis (at least for Archer and Armstrong), is that they are oversized books (you know, Omnibus dimensions, much larger than the original comics' dimensions), with scanned pages printed SMALLER THAN THE ORIGINAL SIZE. So there is a thick black border on all 4 sides to fill in the remaining space. AND, some pages have been cropped to omit art around the edges, even though they have 3/4 inch black borders to fill the pages. WHY THE HELL? I bought it at a SUPER DEEP discount, otherwise, I would have returned it.

That's why I started to buy them and now I have over 400.
I got rid of all my comics during the college years, and have been buying reprints of everything (and the stuff I missed or couldn't afford at the time) in the years since. Now I'm up to almost 700. I always joke about what my wife and kids will do with them when I die... and my wife un-ironically side-eyes me when I say it.

I made a few purchases over the past few weeks.
With some credit card points, I bought the Aquaman: The Death of a Prince hardcover which I showed at one of the Zoom meetings. It reprints Aquaman stories from Adventure Comics and the revival of his eponymous title in the 1970s. I also bought Savage Sword of Conan Omnibus vol. 6.
Then, off of ebay, I bought Dragonlance #2-4, a series one of my brothers briefly collected. Due to my ongoing New Mutants binge-read, I also committed the grievous sin of buying a lot including Secret Wars II #1, 8, and 9.
Finally, my order from mycomicshop.com was also partly dedicated to picking up New Mutants guest appearances for my binge read. Some I've already chronologically passed, but I'll go back to read. The New Mutants appearances I bought include: Power Pack #20, 40, 44 X-Men and the Micronauts #2 (finishing the mini-series) Marvel Team-Up #149 (featuring Cannonball)
The order also included: Micronauts #37 (Nightcrawler guest appearance) Crystar #6 (another Nightcrawler appearance & extreme deep cut) Ka-Zar the Savage #11-12 (1st appearances of Belasco) Namor the Sub-Mariner #21-25 (arc that brought Iron Fist back) Marvel Tales #201-202, 208 (reprints of the MTU Claremont/Byrne run of the Captain Britain story and MJ as Red Sonja story)

Got the first Moon Knight Epic Collection last night. Very excited, haven't read much of what's in here and wasn't about to spoil myself by reading them in advance Looks pretty decent all things considered, but one thing has been bothering me. I'm not sure if it's me, but some of the inking looks a little muddied. Did a quick scan of some pages and I feel like this one is the worst offender

Graded VFN/NM by the seller, which I don't agree with, but I've noticed that, more and more, everyone (CGC included) over-grade Silver Age comics.
