Earlier today I was indicted on 25 more charges of....buying Archies. And I'm guilty peeps, sorry....
Cameras caught one pic of these uncirculated 45 year old copies.

I used to shake my head at people collecting Archie comics , but a person who throws Youngbloods can't cast stones...

I collect Disney Ducks, Hanna Barbera comics (including both funny animals and books published by Harvey), and Usagi comics (and Critters where he often appeared). I also have some Spirit stuff published by Harvey and would grab 50s Harvey horror books whenver I find them on the cheap, so there, I am that kind of collector I guess! -M

Love the variety and range of awesomeness of books you're collecting.

I was talking more about the Harvey kids books (Ritchie Rich, Casper, Hot Stuff, Little Dot, etc.)
Wasn't trying to bad mouth anybody for liking anything, I'm certainly not one to talk with my undying affection for Howard The Duck

I don't know if I'd ever willingly part with anything Malibu Ultraverse or classic Valiant related, even the titles that I never liked or never read
The hoarder and his mountain of endless comics...

The fun thing about buying Archie's, there is no wants list involved, no searching for this issue, that issue etc....just spot a nice lot with books in nice shape, buy in bulk and come out the winner.
Archies are the most sought after comics with the local ladies. Bosses in executive business suits and no-nonsense attitudes discretely approach me and ask for Digests all the time....

Valiant had some good books until they booted Shooter, and even after they had some entertaining titles. It couldn't last because the idea man was gone. It's worth you picking some up if you're curious.

It's worth you picking some up if you're curious. I've heard that the Deathmate crossover with Image is what really did them in. Basically Bob Layton drove to Liefeld's house and refused to leave until he finished the last issue (which I think was already late to begin with)

A comic-book collection with nothing by Rob Liefeld is a fine comic-book collection even if it has no other comic books.

I went to Ollie's about a month ago (this is my first post in over 3 weeks because I moved from Florida to upstate NY) and was very disappointed. When I'd gone there just two or three weeks earlier, I'd picked up some Omnibuses (Omnimbi?) that had appealed to me, but there was also a Golden Age Vol. 4 Superman Omnibus and a Wonder Woman Omnibus with material from around 1993-94 that I had planned on coming back later and getting once I'd gotten an Ollie's coupon, so I hid them on the bottom shelf behind a bunch of other stuff, and when I went back this time, they were gone! So I had to settle for some other stuff. A lot of this isn't technically "Classic" comics but I'm sticking them all here anyway. By the way, the one with Donald Duck on the cover is actually a 5-pack of Disney comics from around 1993, and that particular issue reprints one of my all-time favorite Donald Duck stories, where he goes on a summer vacation with Huey, Dewey, and Louie and winds up going over Niagara Falls in a barrel. It was a very pleasant surprise to find that story in there!

Regarding that last batch of comics I posted, looking at the Daredevil, it looks like it's just Daredevil #13, but it's actually a collected edition with 10 issues. So I posted the back cover of that and the Hulk TPB. Both are slightly undersized.
