This is an example of picking up a bundle of 6 books just to get ONE I really wanted. It's the rare Travel Foreman variant of BW #1 (2010), middle book in the lower row of 3. I got all 6 for a twenty which was....luck! The other copies will be useful spares.

Regarding that last batch of comics I posted, looking at the Daredevil, it looks like it's just Daredevil #13, but it's actually a collected edition with 10 issues. So I posted the back cover of that and the Hulk TPB. Both are slightly undersized. Those are the new format for the Masterworks called The Mighty Marvel Masterworks line. They are in that smaller YA book market format but the contents are the same as the corresponding Masterworks volumes. They usually have 2 covers, one form a classic cover from within the volume, and the other a piece of new art, usually by Michael Cho. I've picked up a number of these volumes so far. -M

A comic-book collection with nothing by Rob Liefeld is a fine comic-book collection even if it has no other comic books. Like the Spanish saying: better alone than keep bad company.

From Amazon - I've often stated my fascination for the "Emma Peel" Wonder Woman, and I can finally sate that fascination with this Omnibus - the complete collection, in glorious color, no less!

Now that we moved from FL to NY, I checked out the local Ollies, and picked up a few nice collected editions. To wit...

By the way, over the past month, between two different Ollie's, I've picked up The Legion of Super-Heroes Silver Age Omnibus volumes 1 and 3. So I looked online to see about the availability of volume 2, and it's hardly available anywhere, and I've seen it listed for as much as almost $500!!! What's going on with volume 2? What makes it so special? Did a warehouse full of volume 2 burn down??

What makes it so special? Did a warehouse full of volume 2 burn down?? My guess-they overprinted Vol. 1 as they were gauging sales, so had overstock. They knew sales would drop for Vol. 2 (they always do with series reprints) and hit the nail on the head with print run here, but then underestimated the drop off for Vol. 3, so again overprinted and had overstock to liquidate to places like Ollie's. Which means there aren't a lot of copies of Vol. 2 available that aren't already in the hands of those who wanted it, as there wasn't an overstock to liquidate. You always see a lot of Vol. 1 of stuff as it's overprinted and is sold by people who bought it to try it and didn't like it. Later volumes in series are sketchier, as those buying it likely already know they like it/want it, so it's a matter of how well the publisher predicted demand when setting their print run. If they did well, there's not a lot of overstock or copies in the secondary market, if they didn't predict well, then there's overstock and secondary market copies. It can vary form series to series and form volume to volume within a series. It's the risk/gamble of waiting on the secondary market to get trades. -M

Is it the complete collection ? I looked into it and I don't think it had the entire run. It says it contains Collects Wonder Woman #178-204, Superman's Girl Friend Lois Lane #93, The Brave and the Bold #87 and #105and World's Finest Comics #204. Wonder Woman #204 is the issue where Kanigher returns, kills off I Ching, and returns Wonder Woman's super powers, so as long as that description is accurate, it should contain the entire run. Also, the Amazon description says "Now collected in its entirety for the first time ever: Wonder Woman--a super-hero no more!"

I recently got this entire run in the cheaper tpb released years ago. I loved that run.

Yeah, I noticed that I could have gotten the same content in 3 TPB's, but it was really only a few dollars more (I need Clint Eastwood emoji here) for the omnibus, so I decided to spoil myself.

Just showed up today, I've been really excited to read this, always wanted to check out the early Phantom Blot stories. This volume covers Floyd Gottfredson’s Mickey daily strips from the 1938-1940 era. I have another earlier volume from this series of collections and enjoyed it a lot, can't wait to dive in tonight!

I picked up Volume 1 of Valerian: The Complete Collection today at a local charity shop for just £10 (it was £25 new). It collects the first three volumes of the series -- Bad Dreams, The City of Shifting Waters and Empire of a Thousand Planets. I've never read any Valerian before, but I've wanted to for quite some time, so I was pleased to find this today. I've read online or seen folks here say that, actually, the earlier episodes of the series aren't the best ones, but I figure that they'll be good enough to see if the series is for me or not.
