Mail call. I finally picked this key book up. Also, this JLA book completes the Englehart run that is from 139-150.

One of my local shops had a sale last weekend, and I also made a recent order from Lone Star. Here are the combined results-- minus about 20% of filler books that nobody wants to see.
As usual for me, it's all over the map genre-wise.
The Ultra Klutz is one I've been hunting for 10 years... it's the last one I need to finish this elusive 31-issue '80's series.
Two more issues of Witching hour to add to the run-- I currently have 69 of 85 issues.
Also added to my Scout run-- about halfway there on this one. Tim Truman did a great job with this title.
More odds & ends--
Even more, including a G.A. issue of Boy Comics and a couple of 80's oddballs courtesy of David Anthony Kraft's old company.
A tartanphantom comics haul just isn't complete without some Charlton horror books...
a smattering of Spider-Man, including a minor key, #144, first appearance of the Gwen Stacy clone.
Some more odds & ends-- including the last two needed issues of Grant Morrison's "Invisibles"
I've always enjoyed UK comics, particularly the 2000 AD-related titles.
finally, a couple of recent Neal Adams tribute mags courtesy of Twomorrows, and hardback editions of The Silver Streak Archives #1, and Will Eisner's "The Plot"

One day tartanphantom will be posting one of these in his stash of new goodies...I tracked down this single high grade copy in Melbourne, Australia and it's doing a 15,562 km ride to Florida. This variant is rare (only 32 slabbed copies exist on CGC) and I don't mind owning multi-copies....come out to play-y-y-y-y...

Maybe some day-- when I actually see one of these in the flesh.
Love the film, but man, the comics are scarce as unicorn poop. Heck, I'd settle for a reasonably priced slightly damaged copy of the TPB... but even those are hard to come by.

Icctrombone , not gonna rag you on this purchase-- I buy plenty of weird stuff as you already know, and I don't mind people occasionally roasting me on it because I don't care, it's what I like. All I can say is, those '90s Image covers were soooo over the top. But then again, it was the style of the times. In this case, I can barely tell a Liefeld cover from a Cruz cover. In fact, if they hadn't signed the artwork, I probably couldn't tell the difference.
Congrats on collecting what you enjoy (and cheaply, too, I might add)-- that's what counts most.

Yay! This is a resource I've wanted for a long time, The Who's Who of American Comic Books vols. 1-4, by my idols Jerry Bails and Hames Ware. On Monday I just happened to take a look on eBay, saw this (below) and the price was right, so... They arrived today! They're in perfect, practically new condition.

On Monday I just happened to take a look on eBay, saw this (below) and the price was right, so... They arrived today! They're in perfect, practically new condition. From a bygone era where self-publishing didn't involve Kickstarter, but instead a typewriter and a Xerox machine.
Congrats-- that's a tough find.

One of 2 coming in....I passed up on one signed by Neal Adams because there was no COA to authenticate it. Getting these in absolute perfect shape seems next to impossible, its larger Treasury size means there's at least one tiny ding, crease or colour rub somewhere. I'm happy with a 8.5 to 9.2 anyday.
