The only DC Comics Presents that I have read is the Flash one. I liked #23 (with Dr. Fate) except that the ending seemed rushed. The fact that it was a 17 page one-and-done is probably why. #25 was sort of a sequel to a previous DC Comics Presents (which I happen to have because it has the Legion of Super-Heroes!) and this one was a bit better. The pairing of Superman with a magic based hero appeals to me, plus I'm just a sucker for team-up books.

I've been reading Batman and the Outsiders/Adventures of the Outsiders, so I went on a bit of buying spree of related stuff. I bought Detective Comics #491, in part because it had a Black Lightning story. Since I have less than half the issues of the Baxter paper Outsiders series, I decided to pick up the rest of the issues on Ebay and Lonestar, so I can read through to the end of that series. I also bought World's Finest #300 (Outsiders guest appearance) and the Metamorpho Year One mini-series. I also picked up the Crisis index. Then, I picked up some Batman stuff off Ebay: Batman #370-371 (a couple of Don Newton issues I didn't have), as well as Batman Archive vol. 2 and Dark Knight Archives vol. 3.

I really like those "Plus" books.
I really like all the team-up books.
And the existence of Robin # 2 made them "count" as team-up books for my purposes - Ie they have to be part of a series and not just a one shot. Or a series of one shots.
Anyway, all of those were good fun. I've never read any more Scare Tactics, though.

I love seeing a good mix of Marvel and DC purchases. I recently picked up about 40 issues of World's Finest from 250-300. All-Star Squadron is terrific for the first 25 issues or so. I've got a complete run with the exception of Annual #2.

Back in the 80's I was more into Marvel, so I've got to let my DC's catch up. Great World's Finest pickups! I especially like that haul because it includes a lot of dollar comics! I think All-Star Squadron was excellent for the first 50 issues, then Crisis on Infinite Earths, and some artist changes, caused it to go downhill rapidly.

I ordered MMW Inhumans vol. 2 solely for their 1975 12 issue series. Not sure if I'll enjoy it, but I've liked the Inhumans for a while now, and it has early Perez art and I'm sure there will be fun in it somewhere.
I also ordered a TPB of Captain Marvel/Shazam! stories. The second issue in it, the art is done by Kirby. And I NEVER would have guessed it was Kirby's art at all.

Yeah, the Crisis took the heart and soul out of that book. It's a shame, I really enjoyed that book. I also Agree that the art was subpar at the end.

Speaking of All-Star Squadron - I do have all books except #36, #37, and #45. I just came back from my Comic Book Store and got these issues for $12.00 altogether, that's includes tax. So, I now have every single All-Star Squadron from #1 to #60. All-Star Squadron 36All-Star Squadron 37All-Star Squadron 45

My most recent purchases include Thor 131 (the first Colonizers story), FF 98 and 119 (the Black Leopard, indeed!) and Mystery In Space 90, the first Adam Strange/Hawkman team-up.

Was able to do a little shopping this week, and my trips to various shops yielded the following:
Star Wars #23, 101, 104 and 105 Fantastic Four #98 - I paid $1 for this, and it's probably in at least Fine- condition, if not Fine Howard the Duck #8 and 18 - paid $1.40 for the two of these combined Daredevil #103 - just need #111 to have a complete run from #100 to #380 Conan the Barbarian #'s 25 - 28 and #39 - this completed my run from #23 to #115
Funny little story about the high-numbered Star Wars issues. The store I bought them at is this little hole in the wall place that I go to every couple of months, primarily to grab newer books that the owner has moved to the $1 bins. I went in today with the sole intent to get those three books, so I went back to the box, picked them up, but on the way to the register, I checked out the 50%-off box, where he had a copy of Uncanny X-Men #22 (from the current series). He was asking $10 per book for the Star Wars issues, and when I got to the register, I offered him $20 for the three of them. His response was "seriously? $20 for $30 worth of books that are only going up in value every day?"; I told him I had to ask, then asked what the least amount he would take for them was. He countered with $25, so I asked him to throw in the Uncanny X-Men. He grumbled and said "that's a $4 book and you want it as a throw-in", to which I reminded him it was in the 50%-off box; he relented, and I walked out with $34 worth of books for $25 flat (which was actually an even-better deal for me, because he forgot to charge me the county 7% sales tax, so he really parted with the books for about $23.35, while he could have charged me $26.75 with tax).
Moral of the story is that you never know what you can get until you ask, and you should never give up if rebuffed at first, because you still might be able to get some of what you want, even if you don't get all of it.
