Obviously, while our burning need for weather reports, nightly meals, local gas prices & other such vital information is thankfully being met here, we've neglected to a certain extent some basic elements of civility, IMHO ...
The start of the day is a fairly daunting prospect for many if not all of us, particularly those of us who are by no means "morning people" (like me). To ease the transition to the workaday world (though of course today is Saturday, thankfully ... not that others don't work weekends as well, poor souls), I think it would be nice if we wished our fellow forum members "good morning."
Accordingly ...
Good morning!

Good Morning ... Dan and this a great idea for a thread and I just came back from Coffee from my brother going over some details about our family tree and starting my day with this forum of ours - so "Good Morning" everyone!

And I still haven't had my morning caffeine. Time to stagger to my beloved Mr Coffee Frappe Maker, easily the most important piece of machinery in my abode, even I think including this laptop, my stereo, TV, DVD player, etc. etc. etc.

If today were yesterday, I'd have been at work 90 minutes by now.
*shudder*

Good Morning and Hello World. I can start my day here, then move to the coffee thread, get weather on the weatjer thread, check the price of gas on the gas thread, and wrap it up on the dinner thread. Check out my latest on the What Ya Doin' Thread. This surely beats having a life

Well, a special Good Morning to you Dan and I do share your frugal thoughts. Why just the other day I was bemoaning the closure of public libraries for the weekends. How is the working man or woman to avail themselves of this cheap form of entertainment when they are only open while their slaving for the bossman? Another way to keep the public uneducated.
But this is not the place to rant. This is the place to smile and say GOOD MORNING YA'LL

As I pluck Sandy away from my keyboard, I am reminded that unlike me, the Gang of 8 are morning people ... well, felines.

Morning all. I now a half invalid and annoyed at the present condition of myself. I don't care for not being able to do everything for myself. Very annoyed. On top of it I forgot I took after hour calls for my boss today so he could go pheasant hunting in Kansas and won't be back till tomorrow morning, so no drinking for me for another 24 hours. Ugh. So I'm settling with Sierra Mist and ibuprofen. So at least I'll be in a better mood for tomorrow's entry.

If I could email or PM you some of my hydrocodone, I would. Until last year, when as I've mentioned before they seemingly vanished off the face of the earth, I still had tablets from my post-wisdom-tooth-extraction (IIRC) prescription from nearly a decade ago, so I'm not exactly addicted & gobbling them like M&M's.

The nearest library branch to me, a little over a mile away, used to be open till 1 p.m. on Saturdays, but not anymore. The downtown branch closes in mid-afternoon on Saturdays now, too. Budget cutbacks, no doubt, not that libraries or anything else of that nature appear to be any type of high priority around here.

My wisdom teeth extraction was the WORST experience of my LIFE. I had gotten FIVE dry socket infections, and withstood unbelievable pain from them having to reopen the sites, before my regular doctor was able to diagnose me with an actual staph infection and was able to give me antibiotics that would take care of it. This was also when I developed an AWFUL allergic reaction to penicillin.

Even though I've been up since 5, my day won't really have started until my sister arrives to dress me, feed me, and otherwise make my life more tolerable. Nevertheless:
Good morning, FOOKers!
...and to all the other good folks here at CCF tambien!
Cei-U! I summon the beloved rut!
