That would be Alanis Morissette. She's got one hand in her pocket, and the other one's firing a repulsor ray blast. Alanis Morissette knows nothing about irony, as demonstrated in her song. She needed one hand on a dictionary.. That's what happens when you neglect your education to slime people on tv!

This entire thread could just be about Avengers: the Crossing . Dude... you are totally triggering me. Thank goodness for Kurt Busiek. The ONE thing they did in that era I like is they introducted the Fujinawa company (as in 2099 Stark-Fujinawa), but they dropped it will all the other nonsense never to be remebered again. At least Dan Slott made Alchemax happen This nugget was about the same time.. mutant Wasp

In 1994 Peter David took over writing Aquaman and this happened - With a character that historically can't keep a series going , I guess DC felt anything goes. He lasted quite a few years with a hook for a hand.

The Crossing was fine for me, I read it at the time and found it entertaining. Love the mutant Wasp design too, even bought the action figure. Glad they moved on from it, but I was ok with it as a more short-term thing.
I love 90's comics so much...just crazy stuff left and right like this material.

Joking aside, wasn't it like one of the most Aquaman's successful run, commercially and critically? It was. I bought the entire run until David left.

The post-hand-caught-in-the-garbage-disposal look is the best look Aquaman ever had. That orange-&-green costume is horrid and should never have been brought back.

My opinion on Aquaman is that the Batman Brave and the Bold cartoon had the best iteration ever. Larger than life, epic, powerful, funny as heck, but absolutely no joke as a hero. And he rocked the orange and green to boot.

Sue Richards dresses like a tart. Sue has always been the mom of the Marvel Universe and this change was jarring to say the least. Some opine that this was a reaction to the Image guys and their over the top depiction of characters, and some say it was just Defalco mocking that era. Either way, she joined Powergirl with a Boob window in her suit.

It's revealed that Sue knows that Malice is present and welcomes the influence.
