For the longest time I've been wanting some kind of series that tells the adventures of the Ancient One when he wasn't quite so ancient and still the Sorcerer Supreme. Ideally, it would be written by Roger Stern. (And this came frustratingly close to happening; in the introduction to the Invaders: Eve of Destruction tpb that collects Marvel Universe #1-7, Stern wrote about some of the ideas he had for stories of that series hadn't been cancelled, and one of them was some Ancient One solo adventures.)

He did get a one shot to keep the trademark, but at the time I really wanted a Century spin off from Force Works. I also would have loved more Jack of Hearts after his mini.
On the DC side, I would have liked a Natt the Hatt mini (maybe from before he met Hitman). I also always felt like James Robinson really wanted Shade to be the star of Starman. I know there were some one shots and event driven things, but never I proper series (unless it was far after it's sell by date)

I think too many characters have gotten a series that didn’t deserve it. Wolverine works best in a team book.

Two-Face and Terra-Man are some of my favorite DC villains, and both could sustain at least a solo miniseries. I could easily see a Terra-Man tv series working out nicely. This year's contest had me wishing DC had done something more with Cassandra Craft after she was dropped as a Phantom Stranger supporting character, and I seriously think there's some good stuff that could be done with Kirby's Black Racer as a solo series, as Kirby originally intended. From Marvel, I'd love to see Kurt's Stingray; that costume alone sold me on the character at first glance. Back in the days of the New Defenders, I remember wanting to see more of Overmind, whose visual design and basic concept fascinated me. Can agree with this 100%. He would definitely fit the bill for a mature or Max title without having to do it for the sake of shock value as with other characters. I could really see Mike Mignola doing the art for such a title too. Though I wouldn't be opposed to Norm Breyfogle coming back to do the art either. Also that's not Bucky O'Hare someone posted in this thread smh

I have loved to see a Wolfman/Colan/Palmer Rachel Van Helsing and a Moench/Gulacy Leiko Wu series. Those would have been great.
For my own picks, a Wolfman/Perez Raven series would have been great, focusing on her combating mystical and occult villains. Lilith, Dracula's Daughter, did get star in some individual stories, but nothing long term, which is a shame, because I think a lot could be done with her. The Penguin is one of my favourite DC villains, and I think seeing him in his own mini-series would be fun.

As a youngster when two of my favorites, Green Arrow and J'onn J'onzz, had essentially vanished from JLA and from their usual back-up spots, I wrote to DC, JLA specifically, to suggest that they put Green Arrow and the Martian Manhunter in a title like World's Finest, with the two sometimes teaming up and sometimes appearing in separate stories. My reasoning was that their two cadres of fans would be happy to pick up such a book.
Little did I know that I was probably the only member of either cadre, that DC had sorta kinda tried such a team in Brave and the Bold 50 to kick off the team-up phase of the book, and that characters like them probably disappeared because they really weren't all that popular. I don't think I realized that Martian Manhunter was in House of Mystery at the time.
But what did I know way back then?

I was kind of struggling with this, but I'd love to see (or have seen) a Misty Knight series circa 1975 done in the style of a Pam Grier movie.

Both were actually very good reads. -M

Stingray could have been on my list if I'd thought of him. Great costume and nice overall concept. Can't remember anything about Razorback, though I have a mental image (in contrast to Stingray, not a good one, to be honest) so I must have seen something somewhere, perhaps online. Were they a duo or part of a team at some point? I had been assuming Razorback was a villain but now I realise that I really have no idea. Razorback a.k.a. truck driver Buford Hollis was a very minor super-hero appearing in early issues of Spectacular Spider-Man. I would write his adventures totally tongue-in-cheek, like "Smokey and the Bandit" in a pig costume. Stingray I'd do straight. I can't see the characters functioning as a team, but maybe that's a failure of imagination on my part.
Cei-U! I summon the unlikely duo!
Stingray I see working for a global security organization, possibly with an aquatic mandate. I see high tech subs, underwater bases....perhaps a self-contained city complex that can be lowered underground, by massive hydraulics. He would encounter aquatic humanoid lifeforms, some of whom might join in his adventures. I also imagine a really cool theme song.

Hmmm, I prefer some of his solo work to the team books. But there has been some overkill, I will concede that. Love the cover on this one.

I like the weird characters in Showcase that never got their own titles. And I'd still like them to have their own books or minis
- The Maniaks - Windy & Willy - Fire Hair
Also stuff like Star Hawkins, Space Cabbie (basically I'd write it as Travis Bickle in space).

Has Professor X ever gotten his own title? A school-year-in-the-life entirely from his POV could be fun. From memory, the original series felt to me a bit like that at times, at least in comparison to the Wein/Claremont version. But yes, it could be taken all the way. Page after page of the professor agonising, "Those useless brats will never amount to anything! Why do I put myself through this, why, WHY?!!"

I believe Stingray once joined in a mob of characters trying to join the Defenders, and I believe he was briefly in a group of underwater characters that Marvel put together, probably in a Namor title. He has always been high on my list, both because of his elegant costume, but also because of what Cody's implicitly picked up on ... I think he works best when he's NOT a superhero. After all, he designed the costume not to fight crime, but to help with underwater research ... it just so happens that it gives him super-strength, and because he's a mensch, he helps out other superheroes when the need arises. So I want to see a series about him being an underwater explorer, primarily. The one character that I'm amazed hasn't had a solo series yet is BATROC. Written by Jean-Marc Lofficier (possibly in conjunction with Jeff Parker or Gail Simone), fighting outrageous Gallic villains from the MU or from French literature.
