Cast revealed officially as Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach , and Joseph Quinn. Coming July 25th, 2025, so we have some time....

Casting has never really been the issue with any of the FF movie attempts (outrage over Michael B. Jordan as Torch aside). It's been in the execution and the product on film, so today's reveal does nothing to either make me more or less trepidatious about this.

that poster is very retro looking... perhaps this is not going to be set in the current time....
I agree with mrp... I don't really care about the casting, its the plot/writing that's important.

I don't know about you, but Pedro Pascal just screams Mr. Fantastic. Way to go MCU. Your on the cutting edge.

Shakman directed 9 episodes of WandaVision, so that throwback feel hinted at in the promotional image could well be a stylistic aspect of the production.

The guy in that photo is not Pedro Pascal, it's John Sienkiewicz Krasinski, so I'm a little confused too.
I really liked Ioan Gruffud as Reed, years ago. Pedro Pascal is a good choice too, seeing as he's the right age and already a fan favourite. He looks more like a normal scientist than he does an underwear model, which is good.
The only thing I'm not keen about at this point is the costumes, pale blue with white trimming as in the Corman film. If we can't have the original FF uniforms, I'd go for the Byrne ones.
I wonder how this franchise will develop, considering the FF were senior to the Avengers in the comics, and a very confident and independent super-team. Coming this late in the game (if this isn't a period piece) they will be seen as youngsters, Johnnys come-lately, instead of the premiere super-hero family. We'll see in due time.
Just one request... No electric-powered Dr. Doom, please!!!

Not sure of the point, but Krasinski played Reed in the last Dr. Strange movie as a multiversal Reed. Yes, and I thought he was a disappointment. I get that it was done as a nod to fans who'd been asking for him in that role, but he brought absolutely nothing to the part. Totally wasted space. I never took that as a promise that he'd be playing the role in future films any more than I expect Patrick Stewart to play Professor X going forward. I have no opinion on Pascal. Heck, the last time I had an opinion on a casting decision before seeing the film was Heath Ledger as The Joker, to which I said, "Booo!". I sure learned my lesson.

Sometime people think casting is like cosplaying, where you have to perfectly recreate a drawn character in real life. I remember in some very old issue of Wizard from the 80s where they imagined that the perfect casting for Wolverine would be Schwarzenegger (due to the hypertrophic muscles with which he was/is drawn)!
