I am unabashedly a fan of all these wholesome cartoons as well, totally grew up with most of these and nothing but good nostalgia here. Great thread additions! My wife actually collects Care Bears and Strawberry Shortcake stuff and even some Rainbow Brite, can't deny I enjoy seeing it in the house too haha. Oh yeah, and we have a fair amount of My Little Pony too! I've always been incredibly fond of things with an inherent "cuteness" factor. I think that goes back to my childhood where I took my rabbit plush "Bun" everywhere and was constantly reading and re-reading my little box set of Beatrix Potter's Peter Rabbit series that my grandfather got as a Premium from BP It's just one of those things that I find comforting, knowing that there's still sweetness and kindness in the world (hopefully that doesn't sound too sappy)

I had those books as well. They were a staple of my early childhood alongside Munch Bunch books and Smurf figures.
Speaking of which:

I also had an episode of the live-action/animated series called "The World Of Peter Rabbit & Friends" on VHS, thought it was absolutely wonderful (though it's from the 90's) And the ending song is just beautiful in every which way

An underrated cartoon from the 80s is Rumiko Takahashi's Maison Ikkoku. Unlike Takahashi's other works it was a slice-of-life romantic comedy with no fantasy elements. The show featured some fantastic pop songs as its opening and closing themes.

I guess this doesn't count as a cartoon, but I LOVED this show.

Her other works have elements of romantic comedy as well, though I believe her current series, Mao, is darker in tone. Maison Ikkoku is different because it follows the lives of a group of people living in a boarding house.

Who remembers Henry’s Cat?
While not technically a cartoon, I did enjoy adventure game show Knightmare, which utilised virtual reality in a way that seemed cutting edge at the time:

Galaxy High? Never saw it, but I did read a UK-produced comic strip of it. Oh, and here’s another one I like: Hmm, I missed this one when I initially skimmed through this thread because I didn't immediately recognize the title card. I used to watch this when I was a freshman in college, on weekday mornings before I had to get to class. I liked it because it included a lot of humor, esp. when the focus was on Doc and Goose (the third and fourth characters shown in that title sequence).

I frequently got Sectaurs confused with Sky Dancers and Dragon Flyz from the 90's. I mean, really, how many shows about insect warriors can you really make?
