One of my all-time fights which captures the sheer guts and determination of Daredevil. I remember a funny comment from that period: "Daredevil vs the Hulk... what happens in panel 2?" Really unexpected fight, and a great execution.

Lots of good calls in this thread, and I especially second the choice of the Shen Kuei/Shang Chi "battle without mercy".
Another fight that impressed me is the Warhawk/Iron Fist pummeling from Power Man & Iron Fist #83. Instead of a standard succession of dramatically posed scenes, that one was choreographed so you could see how Warhawk left an opening for Danny to try a roundhouse kick to the head, in order to catch his leg. Artist Denys Cowan was a black belt in karate, and it showed!
Another one would be Warlock, Gamora and Thanos vs the Magus's Black Knights. Epic slugfest.
(And Mangog vs Asgard. Back when Mangog was scary).

One of the all-time coolest quotes...well done young man. I will be fairly disappointed if Joss Whedon doesn't find a way to work this line into Age of Ultron. If you've seen ULTRON now, I presume you were duly disappointed.

Now that's a classic. I have the original treasury edition plus the reprint in the Jose Luis Garcia-Lopez Adventures of Superman hardcover.

I like my big X-Men battles. My favorite is probably the X-Men vs. Hellfire Club vs. Nimrod. Then, there's the X-Men vs. X-Factor vs. N'ashtirh and his Inferno demons.

I'm surprised Trebor hasn't posted this one yet, but
Batman Vs The Hulk as penciled by Jose Luis Garcia Lopez.
From the manner by which the Joker riles the Hulk up to Batman realizing that he's way out of his element to the later team-up between the two against some of their greatest foes who explode into butterflies or broken metal when defeated. And then you have Lopez adopting the style of Picasso and Dail when the two go up against a Joker with unlimited power.

I know many like to bash this story, but I thought this battle was one of the most epic clashes of all time.

Alright. I haven't seen a classic fight thread here, so I'll create one. Let's share our favorite comic book(s) fight here. There have been many classic one-on-one fights and classic team fights that occurred in comic book history. But the one fight that sticks out in my mind is the 1980's fight between the Amazing Spider-Man and Firelord. What really captured my attention was that Firelord was a Silver Surfer-calibre character in terms of Unearthly Power according to the 1980's Marc Gruenwald classic, Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe. Back when there was no internet to "Google" a superhero/super villain character to see their strength, that handbook was THE encyclopdia for Marvel characters. Spider-Man was only at like something of Amazing power level, not like Unearthly which could lift beyond 100 tons, if I recall that handbook's information correctly. Now Firelord, was no slouch. Early in the John Byrne/Chris Claremont era he held his own against the entire X-Men who had Phoenix at the time. Let me say that again ... he held his own against the ENTIRE X-Men. And at the same time he tackled Thor a couple of times. Now the Asgardian is definitely in that Unearthly Level as well. I would like to thank Ron Frenz and Tom DeFalco for putting together this fight. And a nice cameo appearance by The Avengers at the end to let Spider-Man know that he has defeated a knocked out Firelord. At the end, I was like ... WTF !!! There is an awesome four part Youtube video of these two comic books. Here are the links above on the four parts that fight in those two comic books. By far my favorite ever back then, and up to now.
