Sometimes the suits are right. Does anyone besides Walter Hill like the Warriors director's cut with the comic book transitions? There, I said it.
It's an abomination and spoils the film. It's especially annoying in that scene just before the Baseball Furies are introduced.
Agreed that those comic book panels in Walter Hill's director cuts were jarring and totally unnecessary But I'm reminded to ask you, knowing The Warriors is one of your all time favorite films Did you ever get to watch The Wanderers that came out the same year, another movie about NYC teen gangs but takes place in the early 60s? If you did see it, what's your thoughts? Available on YouTube in 720P

I did catch it some time ago, it was okay and Ken Wahl was quite easy on the eyes lol, but I still the Warriors the edge by far. I love the way it exaggerates the urban anarchy more. But I may give Wanderers another look soon to see if it grows on me a bit more.

Adam: Late Night With The Devil was one of the best horror flicks I've seen in a decade.
There I said it!
Mrs. Adam: You really made me sit through this? This is terrible.
There she said it!

The Wanderers has a different kind of altered reality, where everyone is portrayed from the perspective of the protagonist and somewhat exaggerated accordingly. So his gang, the Wanderers, are all regular guys; the Fordham Baldies are big dudes, with their leader played by giant Erland van Lidth and his smaller girlfriend played by very tiny Linda Manz; the Wongs are inscrutable Asians who are expert martial artists; the Ducky Boys are all small, silent killers (I think of them as land pirahnas), etc. Even his dad is exaggerated toxic masculinity.
The movie doesn't have as much of a plot as the Warriors, mostly following the main characters in their personal lives and interactions with other gangs, but the mix of realism and casual eccentricity always keeps me hooked. The soundtrack's pairing of oldies with the action on screen is also exceptional.

This is one of those 'possession' type movies I missed for some reason, maybe the name Case 39 sounds just so ordinary. Will be watching it late night soon...

Despite some flaws, plot holes and possibly unnecessary scenes, Superman III is an entertaining film, and scenes such as the scrapyard fight and Super Computer finale are far more memorable and enjoyable than the interchangeable CGI finales we’ve seen in *some* modern superhero films.

If you hate a new movie, look at the bright side... Its Pitch Meeting spoof will be great! Despite liking the Pitch Meetings, I keep forgetting they exist, and apparently the algorithm doesn't think it would be in my top interests. Thanks for reminding me to subscribe.

I've been rewatching The Twilight Zone in season order and I'm on Season 4. This is when the network told Serling to make one hour episodes I think Season 4 is better than Seasons 1 and 2 of the Outer Limits. The stories are better structured and more engaging.

I think that Season 4 is the only season I've not watched. It wasn't readily available for a long long time. And I just haven't gotten around to it since it's been available.

Paramount Plus has Twilight Zone on there, so you see them there if you have access. Season 4 has some memorable one-hour episodes, like "He's Alive" (with Dennis Hopper) and "Miniature" (with Robert Duvall). They're decent. Season 5 is where it gets into alright episodes but you can tell Serling was tired of interference.

I'm hoping to watch the entire series from start to finish over the next two or three years. I watched the first season a few years ago and then got distracted by other projects, but I should get back to it soon.

Is there a more controversial movie than Pretty Baby which featured Brooke Shields when she 10? I wonder what her parents were on when they approved that script, with those scenes?

I've never seen it but remember the controversy. I think there are a lot of problems with the whole idea of child actors in general and what they're asked to do, even in movies or shows that aren't questioned by the media and that most people find acceptable.
