I cannot check my copy right now, but doesn't Ross Andru art that issue? Yep with Romita providing the cover

I mentioned earlier that I ordered Detective Comics #416 (with a Man-Bat story written and drawn by Frank Robbins, a Batgirl backup, and some old reprints, including a Rex the Wonder Dog story that's set in a circus!) and The Incredible Hulk #160 featuring Tiger Shark. That order came today! I didn't mention earlier that I got an old issue of Action Comics. My nephew's 13th birthday is coming up and, as he's a Supergirl fan, I got a low-grade copy of Action #296, with a Supergirl backup, an early appearance of Lena Thorul, Lex Luthor's sister. I was planning on getting my nephew an issue of Action with Supergirl on the cover, but I came across Action #296 at the right price while browsing eBay. LOOK AT THAT! "THE INVASION OF THE SUPER-ANTS!" It's one of many Action covers that I've seen over the years that make you go "I have to read that to see how that scene could ever actually happen!" So I got some good stuff for the weekend. I thought the highlight would certainly be "The Invasion of the Super-Ants!" But after flipping through these issues, I think the highlight is very likely to be Rex the Wonder Dog. The title of the story is "Rex - Circus Detective!" and it's written by Robert Kanigher with art by Alex Toth and Sy Barry.

I have read any All-Winners... I have to get those sometime. My first couple purchases of 2016... I got two issues of Iron Man I need (#59 and #73)... both were pretty high grade for the $9 I paid... this one is pic worthy... actual Carl Barks! I think this may now be the oldest comic I own (Dec. 1960)... I have one beat of Superman from around then, not sure the year. It's a classic too... Scrooge finds the Fountain of Youth: From the same seller... I was able to make my cover contest dreams come true....I'm hoping to get the other 4 at some point soon! All three are great stories.. I think 5 was my favorite though.. the guy in shadow is... Sergio Argones! (And yes, he wrote the issue)

How different was Mike Sekowski's style on that All Winners Squad compared to his JLA work?
Those Bat Lash issues look cool. I like the cover on #4 quite a bit.

I love the bold title on the Bat Lash books. Titles (how they look) have really been catching my eye lately.
