Those are some nice pick-ups. Where did you find them?

Local comic show in NJ. You wouldn't believe how cheap. The Bronze Age Thors were 2 bucks each.

I love early 80's Superman. That Christmas issue with Parasite is a lot of fun if I remember correctly.

Picked these up a couple of weeks ago. They were my first classic comics purchased since April; I wasn't really looking to buy anything that day, but I got a really good deal on the bundle that I couldn't pass up.

When I began to build my Spidey collection, these 25c covers were among my first nabs. These covers bought back memories of my first package arriving in the mail...they included issues between #138-149. Back then, it was possible to get a high grade run of back issues at an average price of less than what contemporary Spideys sold for (they had $2.50 covers I think)...ah...memories!

I just bought these 2 old Marvel Comics Index Magazines from 1976. They were listed on eBay in VF-NM condition. I never owned any of these index books and really know nothing about them, but fell in love with these 2 covers. Jim Steranko did the FF cover art, I have no idea who did the Thor cover art but it is absolutely gorgeous!!

From my go-to source for comic-related information, the Thor cover was done by Tim Conrad, who did some work for Savage Sword of Conan in the 70's and then Epic Illustrated in the 80's, but then not much since 1990 or so.

Thanks for the info, thought at first it was a Neal Adams cover.

Yep that's definitely Conrad's stylized signature nthe lower left of the Thor index. He did the cover for the Conan index from that time too... which I picked up at the last con I went to. Same stylized signature in the lower left on this one too. -M
