I ordered Detective Comics #387 from eBay yesterday. When I get it, I'll have every issue of Detective Comics from #366 to the present. If you count the New 52 and Rebirth (which just reached #966), I'll have 600 consecutive issues of Detective Comics! Congrats, that's a lot of Bat books!

I used to love to see how many consecutive issues I could get of a certain title. I think the most I ever got to was about 300, or maybe a bit less.

Not quite a comic, but I just won a copy of the retailer promo poster for Jack Kirby's Hunger Dogs in the latest Lonestar auction... There's a couple more items I am watching/bidding on, so we'll see if I get anything else in the auction that ends tonight. -M

And finally got a copy of Omega Men #3 to read at a price I was willing to pay since I have little interest in Lobo's 1st appearance otherwise. -M

Purchased some more Silver and Bronze Age Archie titles: Archie, Archie's Pals N Gals, Archie's TV Laugh Out, and Reggie and Me. Also late 70s and early 80s Archie and Laugh digests. Looking forward to reading these!

Vol 5 of the adventures of Axle Munshine and Musky - Le Vagabond des Limbes: L'Alchemiste Supreme - arrived from eBay today where it was ludicrously cheap. (It would have been rude not to buy it.) Not only is it in beautiful condition, it's a first edition and very weird and funny stuff it is too.

My last ditch effort to " love" the JLA had me buy the Omnibus that collects 1-30 plus the B@b appearances. I have the Showcase edition but this has full color and might hold my interest more.

The Champion city haul consisted of lots of art (commissions & prints), self-published comic (i.e.. modern stuff), classic stuff and some miscellania, rather than try to break it up into the appropriate sections, I will post the entire haul in the Champion City Comic Con thread down inthe community section, so go there to see it all, but here's a taste... here's the haul spread out on the bed... and here's Wrightson's Frankenstein... give me a few minutes to post the rest of the pics in the other thread (there's close to 50 images overall) -M

Ringo Kid 13
Kid Colt 121
Two gun Kid 116

Took advantage of Heavy Metal's mea culpa sale that ended Oct 31, after they had some issues and switched fulfillment warehouses. They were offering backstock at 80% off and I picked up a handful of things. Still waiting for the order to arrive, but got... Volume 1 of Wallace Wood's Wizard King Trilogy a Paul Gulacy art book... and 13 issues of Heavy Metal spanning from Sept 1983 to January 1985, filling in most of what I needed from that span. -M

Nice pick up.
