No, closer to Philadelphia. Oh, I'm sorry. 😉 I was asking because my LCS had the same book out for 50% off last week, along with a bunch of other cool books. Nothing I couldn't live without, but good deals nonetheless. Is it Eide's? I was there a long, long time ago.

I purchased this comic some months ago, so it's not quite "lately". Still, it's the oldest comic in my collection, thus the most classic. I had a reprint of this issue back in the '90s, but lost it quite some time ago. I remember finding the backup story satisfyingly eerie, so when I came across a copy, I didn't hesitate to buy it.

also as part of Amy's X-Mas gift, I picked her up a Funko Pop of one of her favorite Harry Potter characters, Dobby... she keeps saying she wishes she had a house elf... (if only) My wife and kids nearly didn't talk to to me for a week after I cheered when supercilious little creep Dobby finally kicked the bucket. I have an aversion to characters who refer to themselves in the third person to start with but he just was the pits. Apparently they did condescend to let me watch watch the final film (or where there two more?) with them, despite my protests. I think I slept through most of it.

MRP think those that don't like Dobby lack soul. MRP's wife would not talk to you if she saw what you posted, but MRP thanks you for taking time to respond to his post. -M

Icctrombone ... Those two books are excellent and I do have the JLA Book and I'm loving it every time I picked it up. That THOR book is a gorgeous cover and the talent is outstanding ... I'm getting that too.

So I picked up 100 Conan books in varying condition. #24 was included in mid grade shape. Paid $2 per book. Had issues as early as #10, a bunch from #30-100 and a few newer than #100. Then, I nabbed these of eBay. Not sure why I am in the Conan/Kull mood but I am. I am also excited to check out that Conan index that is included in the mix. Finally, a full set of Omega. Because I was told it was one of the more interesting little series to appear in the 70s

Picked up: And: I really love those covers! I prefer the covers on the trades better than the Omnibus ones.

I have the Batman & Robin ones. From that line I have Green Arrow and the removable cowl Batman as well. I'd like to get the Aquaman at some point and I know there is a Superman one too, but I have never seen it. The Martian Manhunter figure form the JLA line is the right scale for these too, and I missed out on one at this show, it had sold by the time I got back to Mike;s table, but I will get one if I can find one to add tot he Silver Age JLA mix. -M

today was the warehouse sale at Bell. Book & Comic. I indulged in the fill a short box for $30 deal and picked up a few other odds and ends. the short box stack... There was a 3 trades for $10 deal and I picked up Vol. 1 of Dynamite's Buck Rogers and Volumes 1 and 4 of Steve Englehart's Coyote including the Scorpio Rose material. I picked up 2 Power Record and bool/comic sets, they were a buck a piece. The Raiders of the Lost Ark picture book and record, and a comic adaptation of 20.000 :eagus Under the Sea and Adam Fields was set up there, and he was doing $2 sketch cards, so I had him do 3 (Dr. Fate, Baron Karza & Ghost Rider) and picked up a Creature form the Black Lagoon piece he had for sale to round it out to $10 for the art... I'm still sorting through the stack from the box, and I will post contents and pics in a bit. One of the things in the box though, was the Scholastic Battlestar Galactica storybook... the rest is all single issues and sets of single issues. Details soon. -M
