Before DC's Blue Ribbon Digests, the UK's Egmont Publishing did a run of Superman and Batman Pocketbooks (in full colour). These are difficult to get in tip-top shape as they're 40 years old and fall apart if opened too roughly.
A source of mine managed to get about a dozen which should include these... The first Batman pocketbook reprints the four part mini-series "Where Were You The Night Batman Died?" by David V Reed
1) The Testimony of Catwoman (originally from Batman 291, September 1977)
2) The Testimony of the Riddler (originally from Batman 292, October 1977)
3) The Testimony of Luthor (originally from Batman 293, November 1977)
4) Testimony of the Joker (originally from Batman 294, December 1977); plus
Commissioner Gordon and Alfred - Surprise Surprise (originally from Batman Family 11, June 1975)
Superman and Batman - The Lurkers (originally from World's Finest No 248, January 1978)
I remember these (and the Marvel pocket books of a year or two later) fondly. I'm pretty sure that I had the Batman pocket book #1 back in the day. I also had one of the Superman ones too, though I forget exactly which one.

Picked this up for about 5 bucks from a goodwill place on amazon. I wanted to get it before the Classic Christmas in order to read up on the first 8 issues of Conan but It arrived 3 weeks after I ordered it. Oh well, it still nice to have it in my collection.

I ordered Wonder Woman #277, #286 and #287 off eBay. When they arrive, I'll have a Wonder Woman run from #274 to #289, missing only #285. And I think the shop in Pomona has #285 but I didn't get it last week because I wasn't sure if I already had it or not. I checked and I don't have it, so I'll probably be stopping by next weekend to get it.

My wife bought me a copy of Thanos The Infinity Finale. So now I have an excuse to buy the preceding OGN in the series and read it all through.

I have all those hardcovers. The very first one was the best. The last few with the Alan Davis art were lousy.

I have all those hardcovers. The very first one was the best. The last few with the Alan Davis art were lousy. All I plan on buying now is Infinity Revelation and Infinity Relativity. I only care about getting the last Thanos/Warlock related stuff that Starlin wrote. Especially as it seems he's done with doing anything with Marvel anymore. The other Thanos/Warlock related stuff I'll just play by ear before I buy.

As I do most years, I recap my Classic Comics purchases at the end of the year. 2018 was, by far, my least-active buying year in almost two decades. Part of that is due to a dwindling want list, part of it is due to not having tons of free time to go hunting, and part of it is due to just not having the same interest in acquisition as I have in the past.
Classic Floppies - 40 Classic Collections - 4 Total $ Spent - $225.00
Five of the floppies were purchased with a gift certificate from my LCS that my sister gave me for my birthday, and two of the classic collections were purchased with Amazon gift cards that I got through a program at work, so I didn't actually spend any money on those books.
Depending on how things go in 2019, these numbers may go down yet again.

For Christmas my mum bought me the complete Incal I'd shown her the Free Comic Book day taster a few months ago and dropped HEAVY hints. (That and she wants to read it too - I love my mum. She's nearly 80 and as cool as f*ck.)
