Clea's belly button is in a very odd place.

Clea's belly button is in a very odd place. Well she is an alien from another dimension, not a human, so there could theoretically be variations in the anatomy. -M

Just awesome. Those look to be in great shape, considering they are "kids books"... which as you know, are incredibly difficult to find in decent condition.

and the last issue of Action Comics Weekly I needed (the last issue of the series)-I thought I had finished the run last year but when I was putting things away on New Years Day realized I did not have this issue.. Congrats. What a coincidence-- I just bought the last two issues I needed to complete the weekly series, and this was one of them.

One of the comic shops in Nashville had a big sale this week, with 50% off all back issues price-dated 2018 or earlier (they put the date they stock the book on their price tags, so you can tell how long it has been sitting in inventory). Ended up spending a couple hundred bucks (hoo-boy... and there's a local show next week as well), but I got some really good deals, pretty much 50% off a LOT of stuff. As usual, I just shot some pics straight in the bags, so you may see a bag wave here or there, but there's no wrinkling on any of the books. And also as usual, this isn't everything, just a few highlights... I bought about 40 books total, and I won't bore you with the entire lot.

One of the comic shops in Nashville... You from the Nashville area then? I spent a wonderful few days on vacation there and in Franklin back in September last year before driving on to Memphis. It's a great city and the people we encountered were all so friendly. You're lucky indeed if you live in that part of the world.

Yes, I have lived in the southeast US for the vast majority of my life, and have called Tennessee my home since 1985... Memphis at first, then Nashville and Murfreesboro.
Oh, and I've spent some holiday time over the years in your bailiwick as well... skulking around in the cellar among the single issues at Gosh! Comics in Soho, among other things. And what they say is true... unless you only read collected editions or are a collector of Funko Pops figures, then Forbidden Planet is OK... but just OK. In my experience, Gosh! and Orbital were better shops for comic book collectors.

In my experience, Gosh! and Orbital were better shops for comic book collectors. The original Forbidden Planet shops in London in the late 70s and early 80s were fantastic by all accounts. I was too young to go "up town" and visit them at the time (I live on the outskirts of London), but I did place some orders with them via their mail order service, with my pocket money and a little help from my Mum. These days though, I agree, Forbidden Planet is a little too slick and corporate for my tastes; successfully tailoring it's business to the mainstream customer, rather than the nerdy, long-box diggers (and who can blame them!). Gosh! and Orbital are indeed great shops, and also, though it's small, I rather like Mega City Comics in Camden, London too.

I only visited one once when I was on a school trip as a teenager. It was amazing. Like finding the portal to a whole subculture that I had known about but never really believed existed until then.

Really jealous you found those Charlton Premieres I already had number 1, so these complete my run, except for the oddball #19, which is actually the real #1. Still looking for that one.
I have always loved the quirkiness of Charlton.

You have nice taste in comics. I like that Emma Peel team up. Thanks. My tastes truly run all over the map. I've never been a loyalist to one publisher-- I just love comics in general... DC, Marvel, Charlton, Dell, etc. I collect 'em all.
With that Daredevil, I now need just 14 books to complete the entire original series run (Daredevil is to me as Thor is to you). Getting real close on completing Doctor Solar, and my bronze-era House of Mystery run too.
One of the big things I'm trying to complete right now is the entire DC 1971-72 run of the expanded books (48 or 52 pages for 25 cents). There are some major keys across the DC line in that run, but fortunately I've got most of the big dollar books out of the way... it's mainly the oddball ones that I'm chasing now... particularly the romance titles, which are incredibly difficult to find.
Regarding that World's Finest, I never thought of Wonder Woman's powerless-era outfits as reminiscent of Emma Peel, but you are certainly right... funny I didn't see that before.
