I just about have the entire run from 126-502 and when I complete the run, I intend to savor each issue. They had many key events that happened in the Lee/ Kirby run. The first High evolutionary and Adam Warlock in more than a one panel appearance. The Mangog story was amazing, but my favorite was 125-130 where he battles Hercules only to have Odin rob him of a victory. Immediately afterwards, he looks for Hercules to settle the score only to save him from Hades. Great books, man.

Good to see icctrombone plonking 99.95 on a book.
Oh hell no, I got it for 40. It is a good- , but it's intact and I intend to enjoy it.

But what am I waiting for? These might be the only comic purchases I make for the rest of the year. I don't buy new comics and going to comic shows seems dangerous , even when we finally go back to opening the country.

But don't forget that your profile seniority status shows you as being gifted with "The Power Cosmic!" I think that if you go to a show and you take Heimdall along for the ride, you'll be OK. Nobody messes with Heimdall or The Power Cosmic... least of all some inferior virus that was likely cooked up by The Enchantress to inflict fear and distress on mere mortals.

I work in the USPS and I have seen an increase in parcels of all sizes in the last few weeks. Almost but not quite, to Christmas levels. Even books that I have ordered on eBay are taking a bit longer to get to me , and I live in the states. I ordered some Magic: The Gathering cards from a place in Seattle WA a little while back. They sent them out on April 29 using Priority 2-Day Shipping. I got them on May 6, which is a little more than 2 days. I wasn't bothered by it, since I can't go out anywhere and play anyway, and some of the cards were only for my "artwork" binder. We all just have to get used to things being a little different now. What about prices? They're the same. If I pay $48.20 for a 29 comic shipment, I expect to get it in the 2-3 weeks it was advertised for. If it takes months to arrive, price should be way different. If this is the new way of doing mail business , I suspect I won't be the only one having trouble accepting it. Maybe I'm among the first to complain, but just wait.

My order qualified for "free shipping", so it's not like I personally paid to get them faster, which I think is why I was so chill about it. However, I think there is going to be a big difference between how things are being done now ("the abnormal", as my father calls it) and the "new normal" that emerges when businesses, including the USPS, have a better handle on how to balance safety and health with customer service. Those that do it well will survive, and those that don't will go the way of the dodo.

I talked to a supervisor about parcel delays and he told me some distribution sites are being bypassed because of the virus. So instead of taking the fastest way to an address, in some cases, parcels are making additional stops. Add the unexpected increase in volume and fewer workers because of infections, this is the cause of delayed packages. These days, I'm delivering groceries through the mail.

Thor & Herc should have had a buddy book! Tales of Thor & Hercules. The Divine Duo.

But are they still being scanned? Because I have one that was last tracked at JAMAICA NY INTERNATIONAL DISTRIBUTION CENTER in March 27. Yeah, I'd almost rather not have something that's too perfect, so I don't have to feel bad about reading it. From the moment I started buying the original editions, I had to accept whatever I was served. I miss the days when I would scavenge dozens of newsstands and spent all Saturday morning, looking for that perfect copy.

I guess that means it hasn't move for whatever reason. Of course if the item is sent priority or Express mail , it moves regularly. The lower priced postage takes longer.

The lower priced postage takes longer. There's actually a last line saying "In Transit to Next Facility", but I find that rather puzzling. How come it's dated 4 days after it departed the last facility? Shouldn't one thing follow the other (departed and in transit) in an immediate fashion?

Within Canada the mail seems about the normal amount of time despite fewer bots coming and going from the island I'm on. International mail is probably most effected. I've not been ordering to know though. I like all the Thor stories I've read with Hercules, a real odd couple there! The only Thor character I never warmed to was Balder The Brave... he always seemed really bland and the helmet was a total clunker. No fashion sense! The Warriors Three were way more stylin'. Then again almost everyone in Asgard (or Olympus for that matter) wears the same clothes day after decade after century. I'll have to see if the goddesses in those Byrne Wonder Womans have more than one outfit when I get to them, Byrne was usually one of the best for characters having interesting changes of clothes. I guess there's only so many styles for togas but the Norse gods could have had a wider variety... a Balder, special makeover issue... that's what was needed. Could've been a Millie The Model crossover special!
