I actually got out for a little while on Saturday, as things are starting to open back up in Western PA, and I bought comics! First store I visited, an actual comic book shop, I picked up the What If? #24, leaving me just 4 short of the whole run. As for the Sub-Mariner issues, that isn't a series I am actively collecting, but at just $5 each and both in really nice shape, I laid out the cash at one of our local antique malls. My last stop for the day was one of our oldest LCS in the city, one I used to visit 35 years ago with my grandmother a few times a year (she felt guilty because she, an art teacher, took my younger sister to art lessons at the local museum, so on the Saturdays between the 8-week class sessions, she would take me out for lunch and then to get comic books). They had three long boxes of Bronze Age goodies, and like Sub-Mariner, I'm not actively collecting Captain Marvel but at $2 apiece and also in really good shape, I wasn't just going to leave them there. 2 bucks apiece for those Cmarvels are a steal. I'm so jealous that you can actually go inside those stores to buy comics.

I made another video chronicling my back issues purchases. Mostly romance, Archie, and Patsy Walker: I really have enjoyed your videos. Romance comics is a genre in comics I know very little about so it is very interesting to hear about it and see some of the different issues/series that`s out there.

This arrived today after 30 days missing in the mail. This makes a complete run from 128-502. I only need # 127 to make it a complete Thor run from 124-502.

This has a special place in my heart because my pop, who passed away last month, bought it for me in a candy store on the way to his Baseball practice. It was lost in the mail since the 4th of last month which is 29 days missing.

I know how you feel right now, which is how I felt when I got down to just needing Captain America #117 to finish the entire run. You're SO close and it makes you anxious to get the book just so you can say "I DID IT!" Happy hunting, my friend!

Another volume of The Spirit by Eisner arrived today...Vol. 7 of the Archives. -M I'm fortunate enough to own the entire collection... it was a Christmas present from my wife a few years ago. I have more expensive books in my collection, but the Spirit Archive collection is my personal pride & joy... Hope you enjoy yours as much as I do.

I, at one point had the first 17 or 18 volumes, but they were part of one of my periodic purges for space (at the time I was freelancing in the rpg industry and needed more space for stuff I used for reference and to finance the construction of that library) and money circa 2006/2007, so they along with several other DC Archives were among the last round of stuff I sold off on ebay when I was an ebay seller. It is the one round of purges I actually regret (as opposed to selling off all my Silver Age Marvels years before that which I do not regret or miss). In the last couple of years I have been slowly trying to rebuild the Spirit library, though I have picked up more of the Kitchen Sink reprints than the archives (I think I have 8 of the volumes now but 3/4 of the Kitchen Sink run). -M
