I lost patience with Imugr again, so no pics, but...
I received Detective 557 and Batman 390 last week. With these two, now I only have two more to go for the issues I want out of Doug Moench's pre-crisis Batman. The two remaining issues are Joker issues from early in his run, and they are pricier. I'm going to wait for some kind of deal for those. I've already become too comfortable paying $7 - $12 for single issues, and I'm going to end up paying more than that for the Joker issues.
Also received All New Batman: The Brave And The Bold 16 (Batgirl and Bat-Mite).

2 bucks apiece for those Cmarvels are a steal. I'm so jealous that you can actually go inside those stores to buy comics. I'm just jealous that you have stores - I'm 80 miles from my nearest comic book shop. (Which is shut.) I'm more than jealous. The only way I could step into an old fashioned, American floppies shop, was getting on a plane to London, but from the evolution I saw, between 1994 and 2011, I doubt there's even a handful of those left.
It's been a long time since I even (literary) dreamed about being in one.

In Barcelona (900 km in a straight line), but you mostly find Spanish editions there, about 95% of all comics you can see there.

In contrast to last week, where I only received a couple of parcels which were two months old, and made a U-turn, this week I had a total of six packages and nearly a hundred comics. I'd need to check, but it could be a record. Right off the bat, on Monday, the Taskmaster issues ordered May 19. Less than two weeks may look good these days, but this is GSP we're talking about, it was the seller who wasted almost an entire week getting the comics to them: On the same day, I got a bunch of Hulks (£1 each) + a few Avengers. Ordered May 24, no seller delay:

That was the last bit of the Comicana box (almost 5 kg). Thursday was one of those days when I found a surprise in my mailbox. And invariably, when the surprise has been an envelope with comics, it was a bad one: You can't notice on the front cover, but there's a wrinkle on the back, due to the postman bending it. On top of that, this one was ordered form the UK on April 23. Seriously thinking about leaving, my second ever non positive feedback on eBay. On the other side of the spectrum, this one arrived Friday from the US in only 16 days. The combination of USPS Priority + GSP was very good: Lastly, a couple of comics I received a while back from Silver Acre. I was waiting to get the "right" ones, but it looks he's too busy filling small eBay orders, to process big direct ones:

I had to get a refund for a comic that I won on eBay, yesterday. I won It on April 27 and it never came. The seller was cool about it and it's totally the Post offices fault.

This must be what Catholics experience going to confessional...
'70s comics ordered and hoping they will actually arrive: Spider-Woman #13 & 14, Incr. Hulk #206, Ka-Zar #15-20, Defenders #42-44, 62-68.

I just noticed, from Ozymandias posts: the All-Colour Marvel banner is dropped on U.K. editions at the end of 1980 dated titles...

I visited my local shop for the first time since quarantine, and was pretty happy with what I found. I got turned on to the 2003 Batman Adventures series since quarantine started. Ebay had slim pickings for this series, but I came home today with five issues of it, for less money than ebay would have cost. I also got Blue Devil 19 for 50 cents. This issue is Kid Devil with Jason Todd. I was aware of this issue before, but I wasn't sure if I needed it in my collection. But stumbling across it for 50 cents, sure.
They also had six issues of Vietnam Journal in the 50 cent boxes. I'm not into war comics, but I remembered some of you guys raving about this series. I limited myself to the cash I had on hand, and I just didn't have the $3 to add these to my purchase. Next week they're having a sale, so I'll probably go back for the sale and pick these comics up if they're still there.

Ozymandias , aside from the fact that I appreciate the taste of a fellow Daredevil enthusiast, That Hulk #49 variant homage to Maurice Sendak may be one of the coolest books I've ever seen, and I'm not even a very big Hulk fan! Thanks for sharing your treasures for the week.

Welp the rest of my retail therapy from Amazon arrived yesterday and today... Vol. 6 of Jack Katz's First Kingdom... and the gallery retrospective for Black Kirby... which I am already halfway through reading. Here's a couple of sample images from the gallery/book... the retrospective includes a number of essays as well as the art, from a wide array of writers form professors of African history and Black Studies, to comic historians like Arlen Schumer. Lots of interesting, thought provoking stuff there. -M

Thanks for sharing your treasures for the week. In general, I'd say the covers to Jones' run are one of its strong points, this one being my favorite. I haven't read the book, but I loved the movie as I do most of Spike Jonze's.
Speaking of favorite covers, I've also posted, in the last page, my absolute favorite of all time. Can you spot it? In fact, I liked it so much, that I spent countless hours to create a text-less version, with my very first Windows PC (all the way back in '97 and using Paint!).
