Not quite purchased, but I got a wonderful care package from the inimitable brutalis containing Uncle Scrooge: The Twenty-Four Carat Moon, three issues of IDW's Uncle Scrooge, the issue of Back Issue magazine with the Bronze-Age Archies and an issue of the re-launched FOOM (which I did not know was a thing). I've not had much time to dig in to them, but it is much appreciated. And the timing convinces me this wasn't some sort of vote-buying scheme for the Jamies. Thanks, Brutalis.

Picked up some books locally today, a few from one of my LCS's, and some from a local private sale I found on craigslist. I'm not a big Green Lantern collector, but the guy made me an offer I couldn't refuse on a package deal on the silver age books. This isn't everything, but it's some of the highlights--

I’m not on a mission to get the rest of the Thors, but if I see a decent price ...

That's what I said for silver-age Sgt Fury...now I have about 30 of them
One here, one there...it adds up.

Self control goes right out the window when you start getting into a series. Especially if the price is right. I was only going to get Unknown Soldier from where the Showcase Editions ended. Reality now? Only need 2 left to complete the entire run.

Nice stash....I look at Black Panther #1 and remember all the times I used to see it for cheap and all the times I left it right there....and go sit in the corner and sulk now lol
I've never tried Craigslist, how popular is it with everyone here?

It’s all paper to me. If Black Panther wasn’t important to me then, it isn’t important to me now.

I know exactly what you mean. Can't say how many times that has happened to me. In this case, the Black Panther #1 wasn't a super deal, but it was priced slightly below it's true grade. The book is a 6.5, and this book goes for around $65-75 in the raw 6.0-7.0 grade range, so it was priced just a smidge under market rate for its condition. Now, I've only got 3 issues to go on this run, none of which are terribly expensive.
Regarding craigslist, it's pretty much a crapshoot. Some good deals to be found, but 70% of the time it's people who think they really have something and price it ridiculously, when in reality what they have is usually a bunch of dollar box filler.
