215 x 295mm - that's 8" x 11.75" in old money. The magazines themselves have been trimmed by about 5mm top, bottom and outer edge during the binding process. (10mm shorter and 5mm narrower than the loose copies I have.)

YELLOWJACKET COMICS 4cover by KEN BATTEFIELD (??) (Charlton / December 1944) That's just great-- one you don't see very often. Sometimes, you just gotta keep looking. I spent about 2 years keeping an eye out for this one. That $42.00 copy on Heritage Auctions (where the cover scan came from! --heehee), if I'd blown that much money for the 7 pages I wanted, I never would have been looking when the CHEAP one without the cover turned up.
There's a couple of Mexican digest "classics" series I've been regularly looking over Ebay for, as there's HUNDREDS of issues, and about 75% of them I've never seen, have never been posted or indexed anywhere. The 1st one I ever saw posted was a version of "The Gold Bug". But for 5 YEARS, nobody ever put one up for sale! Then, someone put that-- and another book I didn't need-- up for auction, cheap. I put in for it. 6 days later I got it, as the only bidder. I could have done without the suspense (heh).

Where the flying fart was THIS Chaykin when he was working on Star Wars?!
Hurrying to meet deadlines and also having his pencils covered up by inkers of various styles, none of which looked anything like his own.
One of the funniest memories I have from an early local comics con... was this one day in Mount Laurel, NJ. There was a panel of 3 artists. I don't recall who the other 2 were, but sitting in the middle was Howard Chaykin. Fans were asking questions, and making comments. And I had the incredible NERVE to say something outragious... I said I thought the "CRACKED" magazine parody of "STAR WARS" had better art.
Instead of anyone being offended, or some kind of uproar... the 3 guys looked at each other, began shaking their heads "yes" and one of them said, "Oh yeah-- JOHN SEVERIN!"
It came out some time before "MAD" did theirs. They probably had Mort Drucker, who's never a slouch. But even his art came in 2nd behind Severin's.

I have been on a 90's binge. In the early 90's I had very little disposable income (had our first child and bought our house) plus I wasn't fond of DC & Marvel's titles at that time. I bought Valiant and Malibu but skipped over Image and many DC & Marvel titles that I now have found out were worth a read. I also have been going back and reading stuff I never thought to try in the past like Nova and The Ray.

I was looking at some old issues of Kull and the Severin covers are so good. I love how each of the monsters has it's own facial expression on #3.

My newest haul video is up - not just romance this time, but all sorts of things including pre-code horror: Very nice haul sir! Always fun watching as your collecting is not filled with current issues or "hot" items like most youtubers ate posting. You are highlighting your very personal finds and the joy they give you. I love inexpensive oddities which others may ignore. Much more pleasure and entertaining IMO to read and collect. And I totally agree starting into Charlton back issue is a VERY deep rabbit hole. With the war and westerns I have been delving into I keep seeing ads inside spiking my interest and my curiosity for looking them up. If only money were more plentiful for buying up those cheaply printed wonders.

This is now the oldest graphic novel in my collection: Where the flying fart was THIS Chaykin when he was working on Star Wars?! One of my favorite Chaykin works. It's so good.
