So I needed some practice for Classic Comics Christmas. I need to try to cut something I liked down to a exact list of a certain number and here we are.
Each day from now until December 24 I'll post a Christmas song from my list. It is evenly split with 13 more secular songs and 12 more religious songs. They will alternate each day.
Let's get it started with this Andy Williams classic. It seems like a good introduction song for a thread like this.
#25 "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year" (1963)

#24 What Child is This? (1865)
Greensleeves redone as a Christmas Carol. Performed by the group Mercy Me.

Nice choices so far!
I'd do this, but mine would just be all off of Sufjan Stevens' Christmas album.

And mine would consist of one song.
Maybe this thread will change that?

And mine would consist of one song. Maybe this thread will change that? Mine might have a couple. But I'd almost certainly make enemies with my choices.

If someone has Christmas Shoes on their list, I'm going to raise hell.

I used to have a co-worker who would sing "I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas" on the last day she worked before the actual holiday. I was the only one who thought it was hilarious and I would always request it.
I would say, "Hey, it's almost quitting time and you haven't sung "I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas"!"
And the rest of the workforce would stare daggers at me.

If someone has Christmas Shoes on their list, I'm going to raise hell. Expect a box of coal from me this Christmas.

If someone has Christmas Shoes on their list, I'm going to raise hell. I forgot all about that song. And now I'm going to try to forget it again.

I was the only one who thought it was hilarious and I would always request it. I would say, "Hey, it's almost quitting time and you haven't sung "I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas"!" And the rest of the workforce would stare daggers at me. Several years ago I had a co-worker who absolutely hated that song. So I played it frequently because his reaction to it was so hilarious. I told my family about it and my daughter got me a toy hippo for Christmas that year.
