The 49ers pulled it out. That game took 10 years off of my life. Played great in the first half and then almost choked it away in the second half. The offense is really pissing me off. The amount of drops in this game was ridiculous. Especially from Boldin. Colin wasn't perfect either, but made some good plays out there. That 4th and 10 play felt like the season was on the line. Still can't believe that happened. The offense line played well in the run game. The pass game was iffy, but some of those 4 sacks that were given up (yet again) were on Colin. He needs to be more aware of pressure, and make some kind of adjustments pre snap. Also, he needs to learn to get rid of the ball faster if a play isn't there.
49ers defense won this game. Yeah 24 points were given up, but beating the Saints at home is no easy task. I hate that the 49ers have had to come here three straight years. A load of BS to be honest. Anyways, Chris Borland has played like a maniac in the absence of Willis and Bowman. Took him a little while, but he has come on in the last two contests. He's simply been everywhere it's ridiculous. 35 tackles in the last two games. That is nuts. Ahmad Brooks got his revenge after last year's bogus call and made Brees pay. He came through today in a critical moment when we needed it. I still think he's on his way out though with rookie Lynch showing promise and Aldon Smith coming back. I expect to see his time reduce next week when Aldon Smith is available, and I think this is his last year.
Just glad to be 5-4. I'm leaving the country for a few weeks tomorrow and this win will sit good with me on that 14 hour plane ride. GO NINERS!!!

Oklahoma City Thunder is getting worst and worst by the minute ... Horrible Way to start a season! Look at the bright side. The Warriors are 4-0 and blowing the doors off folks.

I work part time at a library. I have a co-worker who is about 20 years old. He is really into photography. Today his camera bag with all of it's contents in it totaling about $3500 was taken. It was placed in a secure location in an office area where several people work, including himself. All of the other workers are women in their mid to late 30's. There are a couple older than that. I know them to a degree, but I usually work in another section of the library across the hall. His stuff vanished in a manner where it seemed someone would have to have known his routine of placing his camera in that specific spot which was in a drawer under desk. At the same time, it's very hard to imagine that any of the people that work in that office would take his camera. All of them seem like very honest and kind people. No one reported seeing anyone suspicious walk into the office area at the time it vanished though. The library was fairly quiet at that time as well. Yet the camera is gone. A police report was filed, but that probably isn't going to get his camera back. I felt really bad for him and during my shift I remember just sitting in my chair for the longest time trying to fathom how it disappeared. Like my mom use to say "it didn't just walk off by itself".
Now personally, I wouldn't have a $3500 camera anywhere other than in a locked cabinet in a locked room if I had to bring it. Working in the service industry and now even here, I've learned you just can NEVER, EVER trust anyone with your stuff. Doesn't matter how nice or trustworthy they seem. It isn't worth it. Because when it's gone, it's gone. And all you're left with is questions and personal suspicions. Remember that folks.

Have you ever been in a fight in your adult life? Like a physical fight that came to blows. What happened? Do you regret your actions?

I went to the SF Giants parade. I also went to the one in 2012. At that time though I was living in San Francisco. Now I'm in Redwood City. So I had to take the train and then BART. I had a much better view, but the weather was a little annoying to deal with. The thing that really soured the experience was the amount of people that were completely uncivilized and just used the event as an excuse to run buckwild. Folks that probably couldn't name a single person on the team, but are apparently "fans". I don't mind casual fandom, but don't use the parade as a reason to live above the law. You had folks completely drunk in public shouting, getting lost in their own weed haze, and just being passive aggressive in general. I was with two friends, one who was a girl. I was a tad concerned about her safety at times just because last year another female friend of mine was grouped by a couple of young punks. Going back was a nightmare too. The trains were completely overcrowded and delayed for an indefinite amount of time. I'm surprised I'm still not at the station waiting. It was great to see the players though. Didn't stay to for the speeches at Civic Center because there was no way we could get close. Just figured I'd watch them at home when I get back. Well here are some photos from the event. I wish I was in one of those start up companies that got a grew view from their own office. I think I'll watch the next one, if there is one, from home. Unless it's the 49ers. Romo livin it up. Duck saying hi. Here is 49ers beat reporter Matt Maiocco being driven around in a carriage by Batman. Headmaster Baer and his kinfolk. Busta Bust. The "Say Hey Kid". Jake Peavy. Barry Bonds. The Cainsaw. Sabean. BIG TIME TIMMY JIM along with Lopez. Vogey. Machi was on the same bus, but I didn't care to take a photo. Morse/Thor. Panda. The Myth. The Legend. The World Series MVP. Madison Bumgarner. Previous two championships. The maestro Bruce Bochy with the new hardware.

Maybe it's my Yankee upbringing, but I always thought it was improper to offer any woman you don't know (ex. a woman walking down the street minding her own business) any sort of personal compliment. Of course every woman is different, and one takes a chance, as a woman might complimenting a man, on the reaction you might receive by said compliment. But I chalk that up to society's indifference or offence at almost anything done or said due to negative and/or inappropriate remarks made, like what Papashogun posted. Of course I could be wrong, and the ladies here are free weight in. But no, I have never given a complete stranger a compliment on anything about her, due to that being how I feel. In times past, unless my perception of history has been tainted, women were given compliments many times by men, and given a position of high praise, for my lack of not being able to use better words. I'm not sure what is more disturbing, the events in the video or the comments on Facebook and YouTube. A lot of guys really just don't get the picture.

Glad you're family is ok hondobrode. My wife is against having a gun, and I am also usually but we live in what's become a dangerous neighborhood. There was a kidnapping in a house right across the street from mine last year, and lots of thefts and home invasions in the area. I have two little girls, I need to protect my family somehow. So I bought a few hunting knives to keep inside the house. Better than nothing right? And I've also got a throwing knife which at least gives me some sort of chance against a gun, if I throw it fast enough. I'd only use them as a last resort in a home invasion kind of thing though. You know whats scary is hearing about people making guns from a 3D printer. The technology of 3D printing has advanced to the point where anyone with $1,000 and an internet connection can access the plastic parts that can be fitted into a gun. Those firearms cannot be detected by metal detectors or x-ray machines. That means anyone can download a gun cheaply, then take the weapons anywhere, including high-security areas. Yikes. not sure if you have the time or the money, but have you ever thought about investing in a dog? We have a dog, and although he isn't big I do have a piece of mind going to sleep at night. He will let me know if there is an intruder in my house.

MadBum with another dominate performance tonight. The guy is unreal! Giants need one more win, but they'll have to do it in KC. R.I.P. Taveras. Just saw him hit a big HR in the NLCS. So sad. Bumgarner had a legendary performance. That was great to watch. Now we just need to hope Jake Peavy doesn't struggle in two days. I have a feeling he will. He's been horrible at Kauffman Stadium. The passing of Taveras is so surreal. Just saw him about a week and a half ago light up Jean Machi. I remember being nervous when he came to the plate in the last round. Can't believe he's gone.

****it. I feel so stupid. I could have had this jacket on Ebay if I had only put in a few more dollars of the starting bid. It had been so long since I bought something on Ebay I had forgotten the basic bidding strategy. Some guy in Australia had this vintage 49ers Chalk Line Jacket going for about $127. And it was an XL, but seemed more like an L according to the description of the seller. Sounds like it would have been a great fit. I thought it was mine because no one seemed to be watching it and no bids were put in place. I was surprised to find out later that I had lost. Some one simply put in $129 in the last 15 or so seconds. I should have put in an extra $20 or $30 for some breathing room. Sigh. This is a VERY rare jacket. I didn't even know they made these with the black. Usually they are with the red. Those are rare in itself. I just hope I get another crack at one down the road. I might settle for the red if it's in good condition.

We live in the microwave era. Baseball is a slower game compared to football. And more complicated. I haven't been a baseball fan nearly as long as I've been a football fan. I can see why folks get bored easily. Plus, there are 162 games a year. In sports like football you only get 16 games and it feels like every one of them matters.

The loss rests on Bruce's shoulders alone. Why he keeps bringing in Machi and Strickland in critical situations is mind boggling.
Hopefully Tim Hudson helps even things out. Can't be too ticked at splitting the series on the road.

One down, three to go for the Giants. Didn't think James Shields would play that bad.
