Clarification? Only Fawcett books, no DC Shazam? For this week's contest at least, that is correct.

Much as I love em, the DC covers are not eligible for this week’s contest.
I’m wanting to focus on the original Fawcett issues from the Golden Age.

I never have either Captain though my mother and daughter both have.
I think down the road I will though probably to go to Angouleme.

Thank you for the win folks ! I'm excited about the upcoming Shazam movie, so let's post our favorite covers starring Captain Marvel, the Big Red Cheese. We're looking for the original Fawcett version NOT the Marvel, DC, or any other version (Miracleman, Marvelman, etc).- Post one, and only one, classic cover that fits the theme of the contest. - Cover must be from a published comic book or collected volume published before 1 January 2009. - Covers must be posted before voting begins. - Voting takes place on Tuesday, January 15th, 2019, beginning at 12:01am PST and ending at 11:59am PST. - Vote by posting the name of the poster whose cover best fits the theme or that you simply like the most. - Put the name of your choice in bold. - The winner of the contest is the entrant with the most votes after the voting period ends. - The winner chooses the theme for the next week's contest. If you don't think the cover fits the theme, don't vote for it; please don't post disparaging remarks about it. If a cover is more recent than the classic time frame, kindly point it out so that the poster can choose an alternate before voting begins.

Understandable; Dark Horse published these in the 90's and obviously the source material came first.

I had both an Accord and a CR-V and never had any issues with either.

I think lots of people don't know about it, but yes, it's very good.

Thought this was ineligible but on second thought it would have worked. This would have been my # 1 pick if I had thought about it. I just glanced at it, but this is Art chronicling his father's story of the Holocaust.

Finally saw that Spirit movie from '87.
It was actually not half bad.
Glad I finally got to see it.

My brother was supposed to have set the VCR back in the day when that original Spirit movie was on tv but bungled it due to fumbling around with his new girlfriend !
Didn't know it was available. Will have to sit down with some popcorn and watch it.

FROM DC in September: SHAZAM!: THE MONSTER SOCIETY OF EVIL DELUXE EDITION HC
written by OTTO BINDER art by C.C. BECK and PETE COSTANZA cover by MICHAEL CHO At first he was simply a disembodied voice on the radio, taunting Captain Marvel with his ever-more-fiendish schemes to conquer the world. Then, readers gasped as Mr. Mind was revealed—all two inches of him! Was this lowly creature really the epitome of evil he claimed to be? Fortunately, Billy Batson understood the folly of underestimating someone based on their size! As small as he was, Mr. Mind was big trouble—especially once he turned the menacing members of his Monster Society of Evil loose to wreak havoc! This new title collects the entire 24-chapter serial from the Golden Age of Comics with new essays by Fawcett Comics expert P.C. Hamerlinck and film producer and comics historian Michael Uslan.
Glad to see this getting re-solicited again.
I'll definitely be getting this and hoping it didn't get censored because of certain Golden Age stereotypes.
I'd like to read and relish this the way it was originally published.
