I love that Dick Sprang art. This is why I like those anniversary issues from the 80's, lots of pin-ups from past and current talent.

I have gotten into digital quite heavily over the past few years. It is so nice to have instant access to my comics without having to dig through boxes. Also, all of my digital copies are in MINT condition! 😊
I wish DC would get on the ball and fill in all of the digital gaps from the 50-70's...so frustrating!

I always remove the tape first before taking out or putting in a book. I've learned that the hard way too. Same here. If not careful, tape can be the super-villain to your comics!

My pick would be JLA #200 (1982)... Beautiful wraparound cover by George Perez! Written by Gerry Conway with interior art by George Pérez, Pat Broderick, Jim Aparo, Dick Giordano, Gil Kane, Carmine Infantino, Brian Bolland, and Joe Kubert. There were lots of good Anniversary issues in the 70's/80's. Anyone else have a favorite Anniversary pick?

Justice League of America (DC) & Squadron Supreme (Marvel). I am sure everyone prefers Justice League, right? SS was intended to be a rip-off of JLA from the beginning. Marvel wanted the Avengers to fight the JLA so they created very similar characters.

I enjoyed the Man of Steel mini-series and some of the very early Superman (main title) issues, but the writing quality quickly diminished. I never liked Action Comics, Byrne's writing was juvenile, written for a child like audience.

It is a tough decision, but...I will go with George Perez. Byrne & Perez were about tied for me during their FF & NTT runs, but in 1998 with the Avengers series run Perez clinched it for me. Perez was still at his peak in 1998 and Byrne was in decline IMO. So overall Perez is the better creator/artist for content and longevity.
