We have Texas Roadhouse here in Wisconsin as well. We eat there on a semi-regular basis because the food is very good and fairly reasonable. The service has always been quite good, despite the waitresses periodically meeting up in the middle of the restaurant to line dance to one of their signature songs (frequently "Cotton-Eye Joe"). are you sure that's Texas Roadhouse (and not it's competitor Logan's Roadhouse)? we've never seen the waitstaff dance or do anything choreographed, other than the singing of Happy Birthday (and they make the Birthday celebrant sit on a saddle on a sawhorse). They definitely dance at both the Texas Road Houses I've been to in Mass.

Texas Roadhouse isn't really a Texas chain in any sense.
edit: Assuming it's the one with buckets of peanuts.

Texas Roadhouse isn't really a Texas chain in any sense. edit: Assuming it's the one with buckets of peanuts. Both Texas and Logan's roadhouse have the peanuts (they are basically copies of each other, tho Logan's is owned by the folks that run Cracker Barrel, and Texas has the involvement (partial owner maybe?) of Willie Nelson! That gives it ties to Texas

When I was in Chicago for C2E2 back in April, my friend Tom Stillwell and his family took me out to a local place called Ed Debevic's that is known for it's insulting waiters, and in that place service stopped a few times, while all the waitstaff danced on tabletops and bars. www.eddebevics.com/the food was good too, and I must admit that I loved it!

Yeah, I've never seen the dancing and can't imagine it playing well here.

Definitely Texas Roadhouse. They also have the saddle for the birthdays, which I was subjected to the year before last. And it's the one with Willie Nelson's involvement because they have a corner of the restaurant devoted to him. And, of course, buckets and buckets of peanuts. I've never heard of Logan's Roadhouse around here.

I like that Power Girl shirt, bert. Thanky. I bought it years ago during the controversy about removing PG's "boob window". . I tend to wear it only at Dragon*con, but had it at C2E2, and we left right from Con to go eat (Tom was representing his Spinner Rack Comics (ToyBoy & Underneath) in Artist's alley, and his wife picked us up, so I didn't get a chance to change

Yay thanks! Coming soon: we find out how well they know Wes! Thanks for understanding. Yes, it is, I should be on more often now! Thus far, they've correctly guessed 1/1. Cool! First try right!
