Seems the more books I cross off my 'to read pile' the more I add to it. Some stuff carried over from last year. I'm sure I'll end up adding more to it later. - Read The Adventures of Tintin
- Read Kurt Busiek's Astro City from the beginning
- Continue to read more Alan Moore
- Saga of the Swamp Thing TPBs 3-6
- Re-read V for Vendetta
- Read Cerebus from the beginning
- Read Ed Brubaker's Fatale
- Read The Golden Age of Marvel Comics Volumes 1 & 2
- Read The Goon from the beginning
- Read Mike Grell's Green Arrow run
- Read Hellblazer
- Read Howard the Duck volume 1
- Continue reading Hitoshi Iwaaki's Parasyte manga
- Read Marvel Masterworks The Uncanny X-Men volumes 3-6
- Continue to read Jack Cole's Plastic Man.
- Read The Walking Dead
- Continue to read Ultimate Spider-Man volume 1
- Read Zot

Just buy a few cool HC's. I want to catch up on some prose this year and my expendable income will primarily go to my car. I think I'll probably read about 300 comics, but I don't have any reading or collecting goals. I'll still keep track of what I'm reading in the 1000 comics thread though.

I'm slimming down my goals this year, although keeping a few the same:
1. Read at least 1,000 books in 2015. This might change if I decide to pursue a certification in my profession, but for now, I'll go with it. 2. Purchase fewer single issues in 2015. I cut my purchases by over 40% from 2013 to 2014, so a more modest 25% might be possible (that would still be almost 150 fewer books than last year). 3. Finally pull the trigger on buying a Werewolf by Night #32. I have the money for one, but I never seem to be able to make the purchase. 4. Finally read Captain America from start to finish. I made an attempt last year, but got sidetracked just after starting it. No excuses this year, however; I put the entire run together, and I'm going to read it in 2015. 5. Buy some Howard the Duck issues. This may be the last Marvel series that I ever start collecting from scratch, as I have identified all of the series that I have never collected and this is the only one that I am even remotely interested in getting.

The most obvious goal I have is to read through the whole of Marvel's Star Wars comic for my review thread, but I also want to resurrect my old Tintin reviews thread that I began on the old CBR forum, but lost in the re-boot.
As far as collecting goes, I'd like to maybe complete my collection of The 'Nam, The Further Adventures of Indiana Jones and the Bronze Age Jonah Hex series. I also want to buy more Spider-Man back issues; I've been neglecting my Spider-Man collecting somewhat over the last year or more, but I bought some early 1990s issues a month or so back and I remembered how much I like reading Spider-Man -- he is my favourite superhero, after all.

I will try to go with new goals....although one is a carry over
1. Go to a comic con (has to be done) 2. Hunt down Daredevil issues #158-175. Miller run issues are so darn expensive! 3. Purchase Death of Captain Marvel and read it. 4. Catch up on my reading. Right now, there are probably close to 100 books that I have not read and that needs to be done. 5. Read (and buy) more Suicide Squad. I have the first issue and issues 2 and 3 are on the way from the 80s series. I want more...

For me: 1) Continue chipping away at finish Iron Man v. 1 2) Get more classic non-superhero books... I got a good pile of Warlord to read... I might try to complete the series (I have about a 1/3). I just got Devil Dinosaur, too which I'm looking forward to. I'm hoping to read the rest of Tintin as well, though that's more a matter of catching them in at the library. 3) Catch up (more) on the to-read pile... I resolve to get my to read pile back into it's Milk Crate by year's end! I probably have 400 comics or so outside said crate (which is down from 500-600 last year). I've cut down the trade pile as well, but still more to go. 4) Do better on review threads... I'm hoping to post reviews of something 2-3 times a week, life willing. I might add more later... this is all I got for now

1) Get those three issues of Jughead I couldn't get last year - #230, 281 and especially 325. This will give me #179-up (i.e. everything from the beginning of 1970 until the series ended in 2012).
2) Get Life with Archie #136, which will give me #77-up (i.e. everything from mid-1968 until the series ended in 1991).
3) work on both Archie and Pep to likewise extend those runs back to around 1970
4) complete my Usagi Yojimbo collection (16 regular issues plus two color specials)
5) work on various Conan-related runs and complete both Red Sonja and Kull
6) get Hero for Hire #2 and #3 to complete that run, which I don't even know why I started
7) read several completed runs that have been waiting far too long to be read, like Thor #113-206 and Demon #1-16
8) finish my Wonder Woman review thread
9) work more on my Superman family review thread
10) *maybe* work on a Life with Archie review thread, as I already have a bunch of reviews I did over on the archiefans site anyway
11) focus my collection! get rid of stuff outside of my focus instead of just hanging on to piles of stuff I don't care about

10) *maybe* work on a Life with Archie review thread, as I already have a bunch of reviews I did over on the archiefans site anyway I should have specified that I am talking about the original series, though the new one could make its way into the reviews as well. Actually, I might start on this sooner rather than later. The main thing I have been puzzling over with it is the fact that I don't have a complete run, but I think I have figured out a format that makes sense and will allow me to have my cake and eat it eventually.

I should have specified that I am talking about the original series, though the new one could make its way into the reviews as well. Oh, I knew which series you meant. Honestly, I'd welcome any classic Archie review thread. While I enjoy reading them a lot, I don't have the kind of knowledge and appreciation you do for creative teams, editorial involvement, nor even the evolution of the franchise. I'd be fascinated to see you take seemingly simple stories and add layers of understanding to them. Bring It ON
