Anyone ever call up and ask for Bridget? Is that like asking for Babs when visiting Universal Studios in Hollywood?

Anyone remember this ad? I was just a kid, so I sent two quarters, and either it got "lost" or I was supposed to send a check because I never got anything back. I was so happy when it was released many years later as a color poster by Dynamic Forces. It was entitled "The Golden Years" and for me, it really was. It's framed on the wall right next to me now. "S.Q. Productions" is Sal Quartuccio, who's been publishing since 1973 and seems to still be at it.

According to comicspriceguide.com/boards/Topic690.aspx :"S.Q.P inc is the comics publishing imprint of Sal Quartuccio (Sal Quartuccio Productions)."

This classic early anti-smoking ad aimed at kids was a beaut. It showed up in the earlier Warren mags. Frazetta himself was often seen with a smoke in his mouth so I'm not sure if he was persuaded by his own efforts.

I'd trade smoker's cough for a broad like that, too!

Okay, not quite a comic book advert, but this is too good not to post. Jack Davis artwork..tampons.... go from there The guy who said "We need to sell tampons! Get me Jack Davis!!" is the greatest human being who ever lived.

I think the person who said it's Mort Drucker, not Jack Davis, is probably right.
It's still a great ad.

Neal Adams did this series of comic ads (though, obviously, not for comic books)

I was big into D&D at the time and enjoyed following these ads: They aren't credited but they look like they were drawn by Bill Willingham, who did many illustrations for the old D&D books (and who was my favorite of the artists they used at the time.)

I always loved the Saturday Morning Cartoon lineup ads that were placed in comics...
