Nice call DubipR! I love looking at those... especially the older ones... I've found a few shows I'd never seen through those.

The ads for the TV shows and toys are my favorites, especially the ones I've seen/owned. Fat Albert is still on where I am. I don't remember Clue Club at all. Some real classics there, though.

I've never seen that one before. Is it from the 90's?

I've never seen that one before. Is it from the 90's? Yes it is. From having started reading comics in the mid 90's, I have a lot of comics with that ad in them. I also saw this movie poster ad in a lot of my Marvel comics in the 90's too. Though I know my folks would have never allowed me to watch it, I did several years ago (paging through a Carnage comic) was reminded of it and watched the films on Netflix.

My top 5 1. The Dungeons and Dragons ads in comic form art by (a very young) Bill Willingham and D&D was the only thing I loved as much as comics at that time 2. Any of the Hostess ads no comments needed 3. Spalding Street Ball ads just ubiquitous in my early comic buying days 4. Any of the early Pacific Comics or Mile High 2 page ads my first real exposure to the idea you could buy old back issues and 5)any of the Saturday morning cartoon line up ads that appeared... in the days before the internet you rarely knew what shows were coming and I always looked forward to these to see what was going to be on Saturday mornings. -M

My all-time favourites include the old Sea-Monkeys one, obviously! The Count Dante Kung-Fu ads... The Charles Atlas ads... Also, I used to spend a lot of time deciding what prizes I would pick from the old Olypmic ads... The Evel Keneval back cover ads were great too... This one's also a fave... And, in the days before home video became a thing, I used to LOVE this advert. Imagine...the Star Wars movie showing in your own home! I also used to really love the "Why Kill Yourself?" subscription ads in MAD Magazine, but I can't seem to find any examples of them online.

Besides the obvious hostess ones, I love seeing the East Coast and Mile High comics ads.. it's fun seeing what was valuable at the time.
The Dr. J/Rick Barry one and the Sea Monkeys ones are also faves of mine.

- The Famous Illustrators School ads
- The GRIT ads
- "Get Big with Bruno" - with a picture of Bruno Sammartino
- Howard Rogofsky's back issue ads - he would change his middle initial for each publisher - in Marvel comics the ad said "Howard M. Rogofsky"; in DC comics, "Howard D. Rogofsky", etc.

Guaranteed alive! Eats the same food you do!
I can only imagine the chaos, stench, and misery introducing a squirrel monkey into a suburban 1960s home would produce.
Too fast to catch. Too big to flush. Best to just open a window and shoo it away. We still have the free leather collar and leash, so not a total loss.

Besides the obvious hostess ones, I love seeing the East Coast and Mile High comics ads.. it's fun seeing what was valuable at the time. Placed my very first back-issue mail orders from those two around mid 90s. My parents did all the paying of course as I was barely into double-digits. Clyde from East Coast would send me a credit almost every time on a yellow card with red, scribbly handwriting But his prices were much better and new issues were 60% cover price. His mail-order list was about the size of a tabloid page. My first order came up to $80+ but I got my very first variant - X-Men 25 Black & White cover. Mile High's catalogue came in a large white envelope with a girl sitting on a flying horse. I think Chuck once sent me a $50 coupon if I spent $100 but his prices were just too high. He had new issues at way over cover price - ridiculous.

My top 5 1. The Dungeons and Dragons ads in comic form I was always convinced that if I bought all the right comics, those ads would tell a coherent story. Very disappointed to learn, later in life, that they did not. I agree that I loved them though.

I've never seen that one before. Is it from the 90's? Yeah it was. I haven't read it but they even turned it into a one-shot comic.
