There's a new issue of DITKOMANIA out this week, #93. This issue focuses on Konga and Gorgo, Ditko's giant monster books from Charlton. More info at: unitedfanzineorganization.weebly.com/ditkomania.htmland in related news, Robin Snyder has a Kickstarter open for Ditko's latest work: Rob, I love your posts, like Ditkomania and Robin Snyder. Stuff I'd otherwise miss.

Have any of your Class Comic fanatics ever heard of the PS Artbooks ? Their catalog of pre-code comic hardcovers and volumes looks really nifty. Also, Two Morrows is bringing out Swampmen:Muck-Monsters of Comics
Fans of Swamp Thing, Man-Thing, Thing-Thing and all oozy creatues! (sorry for the large pic. It was either this one or a little baby tiny one)

Is Swampmen really coming out? It was initially announced over a decade ago.

Have any of your Class Comic fanatics ever heard of the PS Artbooks ? Their catalog of pre-code comic hardcovers and volumes looks really nifty. I have several of them, and think they are pretty sweet. The catalog of material they are mining is pretty appealing to me, and includes a lot of stuff not often seen. These books are scanned directly from the originals, with no extra art restoration. I like this "authentic" approach, but this means (though it is apparent the cleanest and best issues available are selected for source material) sometimes the results can be a bit on the muddy side. Also the publisher is UK based so availability in this side of the pond is little sketchy, unless your LCS owner is a fan. (I have to special request mine to bring them in, even though they distributed by Diamond.) They are a little more expensive than other books of their kind, and don't seem to be available on online retailers like Amazon. Production numbers are usually limited to a couple thousand per title.

I'll definitely be looking for a copy of that Swampmen thing.

Roy Thomas is one of the people putting together the PS Artbooks. Last I heard, he's still looking for a couple of issues of Prize Comics for a PS volume of Dick Briefer's Frankenstein.

Just saw this one in solicitation announcements, and I know Shax at least will be interested. IDW is releasing a new translation and edition of Hugo Pratt's complete Corto Maltese in a series of 12 GNs starting in October, the better news is that it looks like its the start of a line of Eurocomics form IDW making things available to the US Market in prestige editions with new translations. article here-M

That's great news, mrp! I only regret that IDW started this project instead of the publishing company I was thinking of starting.
In other news, TwoMorrows' long-awaited book on Don Heck will be out in September!

Did MuckMen ever come out? It was supposed to be an issue of Comic Book Creator. I have CBC on my pull-list, but for some reason I didn't get the last giant size issue. (The Joe Kubert one! Y'all know how much I love Joe Kubert!) So I was kind of assuming that # 6 DID come out, but just that my shop couldn't get it again.

I saw the dude who letters one of the books I edit for the studio plug it on Facebook last week as coming out either last Wednesday or this week I think. He's a big horror fan and been waiting for that book with bated breath, but not sure if his info is accurate....

A bit pricier than I expected - over $20, though they're offering a discount, probably for online orders. And it's 180 pages. I see there's a Russ Heath issue that I missed, and a Bernie Wrightson one that's supposed to come out in Feb 2015.
