1982 Style Guide by Jose Luis Garcia-Lopez getting a new edition released in August! This is the ad form the back of an upcoming issue of a DC Comic that comp copies went to creators and some of those creators leaked the back cover ad to the internet.  There's been no official announcements yet, but that ad is out there in the world. -M

Yeah, anything by Al Williamson absolutely has to get a ton of consideration. Storage space is an increasing problem and I 'd like to have a look at an actual copy that I can hold in my hands but for over 400 pages of Al Williamson I'll probably take a chance and pre-order one from somewhere. Not Fantagraphics themselves, unfortunately, since their shipping costs have gone through the ceiling. |

DeMatties' tenure on Doctor Fate is finally getting collected in tpb form linkIt's funny, I think I was talking recently about how weird it was that DC hadn't collected anything recently in regards to Fate given how semi-prominent he was in the trailers for Black Adam |

The fate listing is an incomplete solicitation. They haven't given the actual contents reprinted, so the page number and price point are probably place holders and not accurate. If they do the Fate mini with Giffen, and all of the Dr. Fate series, the page count is not right. If they do the Fate mini and just the DeMatteis issues of the Fate series, the page count is not right. If they do just the DeMatteis issues of the Fate series and not the mini, the page count is not right. So until the exact contents are revealed, don't put any stock into the page count or the price point. It's not releasing until 2nd quarter 2025, so there's lots of time for them to get the specifics out there (or cancel it as they sometimes do).

If they can give me 400 pages for 30 bucks, along the lines of an Epic Collection, I'm in. I haven't read the DeMatteis series in years. I remember liking its offbeat plot. |
