I always loved this splash By John Buscema and Joe Sinott . Fantastic Four #120.
I just read this storyline in Essential Fantastic Four, Volume 6, a few days ago. It's not quite Lee/Kirby, but it's still a great era for the FF. I love the way the Gabriel storyline is structured, with the big reveal at the beginning of the third part. And so much Buscema/Sinnott art! I could do without the Crystal/Quicksilver romance, but almost everything else is pretty cool, especially Thundra and the Frightful Four! And that one issue by Ramona Fradon is very nice.
I hope you scan some Thundra soon. She rocks! It's too bad she never really caught on.

I have the entire FF run from about 110 to the finish , and the rest in reprints ( Marvel Collectors Items, Marvel Greatest Comics). I will scan some Thundra soon.

Thankfully, they made changes to the costume quickly: Much improved, I'm sure.

I wondered which Boomerang outfit the Hulk preferred?
"Hulk think Puff-Sleeves looked better in purple helmet! Hulk smash!"

That entire Hitman run was riddled with over the top violence. I loved it.

I posted this splash in a write up I did about Dave Cockrum's Futurians on the old board, but since that's long gone I'll go ahead and rest the image here. One of my favorite pages from Cockrum. You can't beat a giant alien worm receiving a nice ultrasonic blast by the lusciously obscure heroine Mosquito. From Futurians #2:

Jeff Purves is underrated. He became the artist on the Hulk shortly after I started collecting The Incredible Hulk in 87 I believe. In retrospect, I think I liked his Hulk because of the vague resemblance to Moe Howard. Whatever happened to him?
