I read the first TPB of SECRET. I liked it much more than EAST OF WEST, but I prefer MANHATTAN PROJECTS to both.

I read the first TPB of SECRET. I liked it much more than EAST OF WEST, but I prefer MANHATTAN PROJECTS to both. Manhattan Projects is probably my second favourite book, straight after Saga. Have you tried explaining what its about to a non-comic person ? The most fun Ive ever had trying to sell a book to a mate. Im loving East of West, struggle to understand whats goin on, but loving it, though it just doesnt come close to the craziness of alternate universe Albert Einstein crossing paths with the evil sub-sumed twin of Robert Oppenheimer and an artificial intelligence FDR. |

I like East of West more than Manhattan Projects so far (East of West seems to have more of a point to the story), but I'm enjoying the craziness of Manhattan Projects.
Anyway: new comics for this week.
I haven't seen a list yet (which one do you use), but I believe there is a new Death Vigil coming out.

Squirrel Girl's first appearance:  She was a guest in the Iron Man story, and helps him defeat Dr. Doom. I bought this issue off the rack about 25 years ago and was shocked to recently discover that it's actually a somewhat valuable item. When I heard she was getting her own book, I looked up eBay sold auctions on a whim and discovered copies going for at least $50 in some instances. Who's the girl in purple? |

Squirrel Girl's first appearance: She was a guest in the Iron Man story, and helps him defeat Dr. Doom. Correction: I think that was her original costume, right around when the Hand converted her, before she adopted her more well-known costume. My memory is a little fuzzy on that era of the X-Men.
That was the original Psylocke, English and not a ninja, before The Hand turned her into the Asian ninja that is more commonly known (sometime in 250s of Uncanny X-Men).
